311 Man Has No True Faith in Christ
Verse 1
What you admire is not the humility of Christ,
but the false shepherds of prominence.
You do not like the loveliness or the wisdom of Christ,
but rather those wantons in the mire with the vile world.
Chorus
Even now your heart still turns to them,
to their position in the hearts of all the Satans,
their influence and authority.
You resist and refuse the work of Christ.
God says you lack the faith of acknowledging Christ.
Verse 2
You laugh at the pain of Christ who has no place to rest,
but admire corpses who steal offerings and live in vices.
You are not willing to suffer with Christ,
but will gladly go into the arms of
those antichrists, the reckless ones,
though all they give you is flesh, letters and control.
Chorus
Even now your heart still turns to them,
to their position in the hearts of all the Satans,
their influence and authority.
You resist and refuse the work of Christ.
God says you lack the faith of acknowledging Christ.
Verse 3
You’ve followed Him because you were forced,
your heart full of lofty images, their influential words and hands.
They are, in your heart, forever supreme heroes.
But this is not so for the Christ of today.
Chorus
Even now your heart still turns to them,
to their position in the hearts of all the Satans,
their influence and authority.
You resist and refuse the work of Christ.
God says you lack the faith of acknowledging Christ.
Outro
Forever insignificant is Christ in your heart,
forever undeserving of reverence,
for He’s too ordinary, has too little influence,
for He is too far from lofty.
So, God says you lack the faith of acknowledging Christ.
