411 To Believe in God but Not Accept the Truth Is to Be a Nonbeliever

Verse 1

Some do not rejoice in truth or judgment.

Instead, these power-seekers want power and riches.

They search for groups with influence,

and pastors from seminaries.

They’ve accepted the true way but half believe.

They cannot give their hearts and minds,

talking of giving themselves for God,

with their eyes focused on pastors and teachers.

Pre-chorus 1

They do not even spare Christ a second glance.

They’re fixed on fame, fortune and glory.

Chorus

God says all those who don’t value truth

are nonbelievers and traitors.

Such men shall never receive

the approval of Christ.

Verse 2

They can’t believe this meager person

can conquer and perfect man.

They think it’s ridiculous that these

nobodies in the dust are God’s chosen.

They believe if such people were the objects

of God’s salvation,

heaven and earth would turn upside down,

all would laugh themselves silly.

They believe if God perfected nobodies,

then great men would become God Himself.

Their views are tainted with unbelief.

Worse than not believing, they’re absurd beasts.

Pre-chorus 2

They value only status and prestige,

power and large denominations,

no regard for those led by Christ.

They’re traitors to Christ, truth, and life.

Chorus

God says all those who don’t value truth

are nonbelievers and traitors.

Such men shall never receive

the approval of Christ.

Outro

Do you now see how much unbelief you have?

How much betrayal of Christ?

God exhorts you to devote yourself full

since you’ve chosen the way of truth.

You should know that God belongs

to all those who truly believe and worship.

God does not belong to the world, nor any one person.

He belongs to those devoted and faithful to Him.
