410 You Still Have a Muddled Belief

Verse 1

Many have followed God without hesitation.

You too have wearied over the years.

God has known your nature and habits so clearly.

Being with you has been arduous.

Though He knows you well,

the pity is you know nothing, nothing of Him.

Chorus

You don’t understand God’s disposition.

You can’t fathom what is in His mind.

Your misunderstandings grow and grow,

and your faith in Him is confused.

Verse 2

Rather than say you have faith in God,

you should say you’re trying to curry favor.

You follow whoever can reward you

and save you from great disasters,

showing no concern

whether he is God or any certain God.

Pre-chorus

There are many in this serious state.

If you were tested just to see

if you believe in Christ through grasping His essence,

no one would satisfy God.

Chorus

You don’t understand God’s disposition.

You can’t fathom what is in His mind.

Your misunderstandings grow and grow,

and your faith in Him is confused.

Bridge

Your faith is full of imaginings;

it’s so far from the practical God,

so what is the essence of your faith?

Your false belief pulls you away from God,

so what is the essence of this issue?

None of you have considered this,

nor do you understand its gravity.

Have you given any thought

to the results of such belief?

Chorus

You don’t understand God’s disposition.

You can’t fathom what is in His mind.

Your misunderstandings grow and grow,

and your faith in Him is confused.

Your misunderstandings grow and grow,

and your faith in Him is confused, is confused.
