318 Nothing People Say or Do Escapes God’s Watch

Verse 1

Your faith is very beautiful, you say

to dedicate your life to God’s work’s your wish,

and you’d love to do all you can for it.

Only your disposition’s hardly changed.

Words of arrogance, this is what you’ve said,

but what you actually do is pitiful.

It’s like your tongue and lips are up in heaven,

but legs of yours are far away on earth.

So your words, deeds and fame

are still in terrible condition.

Chorus

Do you believe that you can gain the right to enter

the holy land of God’s own work and words

without Him testing all your words and deeds?

Is anybody able to succeed in fooling His two eyes?

How could your lowly actions and cheap talk escape His sight?

Verse 2

By now your reputation is destroyed,

your bearing is degrading, your words are cheap,

your life’s abhorrent, your humanity is poor.

You are so narrow-minded toward people,

you haggle over every small detail.

You quarrel over things like status and repute,

so much you’d like to go down the road to hell,

and you’d jump right into the lake of fire.

Your current words and deeds

are enough for God to tell you’re sinful.

Chorus

Do you believe that you can gain the right to enter

the holy land of God’s own work and words

without Him testing all your words and deeds?

Is anybody able to succeed in fooling His two eyes?

How could your lowly actions and cheap talk escape His sight?

Verse 3

Your attitude towards God’s work’s enough

for Him to determine you are unrighteous ones.

And all your dispositions are enough to say

that you are filthy souls, full of disgrace.

What you do and reveal can mean one thing:

You have drunk a lot of blood of unclean spirits.

When entering the kingdom of heaven is mentioned,

you try and keep your feelings to yourselves.

Are your ways adequate for you to walk into God’s kingdom?

Chorus

Do you believe that you can gain the right to enter

the holy land of God’s own work and words

without Him testing all your words and deeds?

Is anybody able to succeed in fooling His two eyes?

How could your lowly actions and cheap talk escape His sight?
