293 Only God Is Best
1 All God’s words are the truth, and everything He says and does is righteous. Upon undergoing the judgment of His words, we should seek the truth. Since we acknowledge that we have corrupt dispositions, we should submit to God’s judgment even more. Only when our dispositions have been cleansed of corruption can we satisfy His will. We relinquish our notions and imaginings, looking to God and practicing the truth. We bolster our resolve to imitate Peter, bearing resounding witness. Let us raise our voices and sing: Only God is best! We will praise God’s holiness and righteousness forever!
2 Experiencing the judgment of God’s words, I’ve seen how deeply corrupted by Satan I am. I’m arrogant, conceited, crooked, and deceitful; I really have no human likeness. After accepting judgment and coming to know myself, I’ve truly repented. Tasting of God’s disposition, which tolerates no offense, I have heartfelt reverence for Him. His immense love is hidden behind His judgment and chastisement. Forsaking the flesh and practicing the truth, I feel that God is even closer. Let us raise our voices and sing: Only God is best! We will praise God’s holiness and righteousness forever!
3 When persecution, hardship, and trials befall, we must stand witness to glorify God; through life or in death, created beings should submit to His rule. By suffering great adversity and pain, we come to hate Satan, and gain an even greater sense of how lovable God is. Risking our lives to shame Satan, we bear victorious witness. Light suffering, which is but transitory, is what we exchange for the truth and life. Everything God says and does is love; in this, our faith is strong and free from doubt. Let us raise our voices and sing: Only God is best! We will praise God’s holiness and righteousness forever!
