647 We Are Saved Because God Chose Us

Verse 1

Though we were born and live in a land of filth,

God leads and protects us, He has conquered us all.

So, we’ve rid ourselves of Satan’s influence.

We don’t obey because we’re good or love God by nature.

Pre-chorus 1

It’s because God chose and predestined us

that today we’ve been conquered and can testify,

we can bear testimony to Him, and we can serve Him.

Chorus

Because God chose and protected us, we have been saved,

and now we’ve been delivered from Satan’s domain.

He saved us, and we’re able to leave the filth behind,

and be cleansed in the nation of the great red dragon.

We are saved, saved, saved because God chose us.

Verse 2

Yes, we are the most corrupt of all the people.

That’s true, that’s what God has decreed, that can’t be denied.

But we’ve escaped that influence and forsaken it,

and we detest our forebear, we turn our backs on it.

Pre-chorus 2

We’re willing to obey all God’s arrangements.

We’d love to act according to God’s will and satisfy Him.

We’re willing to achieve what He requires of us.

Chorus

Because God chose and protected us, we have been saved,

and now we’ve been delivered from Satan’s domain.

He saved us, and we’re able to leave the filth behind,

and be cleansed in the nation of the great red dragon.

We are saved, saved, saved because God chose us,

because God chose us.
