550 You Should Seek to Be a Survivor

Verse 1

God will direct you onto a path,

one that ensures you will move forward.

This path is seeking to survive.

Don’t worry about your future status;

just focus on how you should survive.

This is something that people should seek,

for those who survive will be good people,

bearing glorious witness for God.

Pre-chorus 1

And they are sure to satisfy His will.

Chorus

Seeking to survive is no extravagant wish.

It’s something everyone should strive for.

Therefore you should seek to be a survivor.

It’s in line with God’s work of salvation.

Verse 2

You should make the most basic of plans,

that is, to survive into the future,

whether as a service-doer,

or as one of God’s people, or sons,

or as someone of high status.

Think only of gaining God’s approval,

work on it so as to survive.

God hopes to have more people survive.

Pre-chorus 2

Does this not simplify your quest?

Chorus

Seeking to survive is no extravagant wish.

It’s something everyone should strive for.

Therefore you should seek to be a survivor.

It’s in line with God’s work of salvation.

Bridge

Having a proper pursuit

is not an extravagant wish.

It’s simply what you should pursue

in line with a belief in God.

Chorus

Seeking to survive is no extravagant wish.

It’s something everyone should strive for.

Therefore you should seek to be a survivor.

It’s in line with God’s work of salvation.
