886 God’s Love Is Not Possessed by Any Created Being

Verse 1

God’s words carry life power,

they show the way we should walk,

they allow us to see truth.

And to God’s words we are drawn,

we notice God’s speech and tone.

Subconsciously we’re drawn in

to the heart’s voice that we hear

of this average person.

Chorus

He has tolerance and patience

no ordinary person has,

and His love is not possessed

by any created man.

Verse 2

He works His heart out for us,

loses appetite and sleep.

He sighs and He weeps for us,

He groans in sickness so deep.

He suffers greatly in shame

for our fate and salvation.

His heart bleeds and sheds tears

for our numbness and rebellion.

Chorus

He has tolerance and patience

no ordinary person has,

and His love is not possessed

by any created man.

Bridge

Such possessions are beyond

an ordinary person,

and they cannot be attained

by any of the corrupt.

Chorus

He has tolerance and patience

no ordinary person has,

and His love is not possessed

by any created man.
