305 You’re Unworthy to Contact God With Such Sense
Intro
It would be best for you to dedicate
more effort to the truth of knowing the self.
Why have you not found favor with God?
Why are your disposition and speech foul to Him?
Verse 1
You praise yourselves for a meager loyalty,
want rewards for a small contribution.
You scorn others when you’re a little obedient,
scorn God when you do some petty work.
Verse 2
For receiving God you want money, gifts, praise.
Giving one or two coins makes your heart ache.
And when you give ten, you wish for blessings,
and to be treated with distinction.
Pre-chorus 1
Your humanity is offensive.
What’s praiseworthy in your words, actions?
Chorus
With such sense, how can you engage with God?
Aren’t you scared for yourselves at this stage?
Your disposition is at a point
where you aren’t compatible with God.
So doesn’t that make your faith laughable?
And is your faith not preposterous?
Now how will you approach your future?
Now how will you choose which path to take?
Verse 3
Knowing very well that you believe in God,
but can’t be compatible with Him;
knowing well you are without any merit,
you still go on boasting with no end.
Pre-chorus 2
Do you not feel your sense has declined
and you no longer have self-control?
