The main character, a leader in the church, wants to appoint Sister Kathleen as a group leader, but another church leader wants to assign her to watering duty. The main character is concerned about the impact this will have on her church's work, and that her own position may not be secure—she tries to think of everything to stand in the way. By reading God's words and reflecting on herself, she realizes that she was only considering her own status without giving a single thought to upholding the work of God's house as a whole, as well as trying to keep a talented person within her personal control. She sees this is the path of an antichrist. Once she realizes all this, in her duty from then on, she focuses on practicing the truth and letting go of status, leaving her feeling much freer.
