The main character is selected for a leadership position, in charge of several churches' work. However, she feels that it's a heavy responsibility and doesn't want to accept it, concerned that the work will be held up if she doesn't do her duty well and then her chance to perform a duty will be taken away. Through the judgment and chastisement of God's words, she realizes that she is shirking that duty because she's overly focused on her future prospects and destination, so she is on her guard against God and misunderstanding Him. She then shifts her perspective toward this duty and sees it as God's commission: Regardless of whether she has a future and a destination, she should take it on. This experience gives her a more practical understanding that this duty can make up for what she lacks, and that it's a blessing from God.
