After becoming a supervisor, he saw that the workload was heavy and would require a lot of time and effort, so he started thinking about his own flesh and wanted to do an easier duty. As a result, he deliberately dragged his feet in his duty and pretended to be incompetent, hoping to resign smoothly. This ended up delaying the work, and only then did he feel remorseful. Through seeking the truth and reflecting on himself, he came to understand the nature and consequences of picking easy jobs and shirking his duty on purpose. He was then able to have the right intentions and do his duty in a grounded way.
