He suffered from high blood pressure and a cerebral infarction, and his health was deteriorating. He lived in a state of distress and anxiety, constantly worried that if his illness worsened, he would be unable to do his duty and would lose his chance to be saved. He no longer bore a burden in his duty, always fearing that overexertion would aggravate his condition, and he even developed misunderstandings and complaints against God. What was it that allowed him to let go of his distress and anxiety about his illness and face it calmly?
