2020 English Christian Song | "The Likeness of Those Used by God"

June 3, 2020

Intro

The people God uses may look unlike others.

They don’t seem to be rational,

or have good ties with others.

But they don’t speak carelessly.

They speak with propriety.

And their heart is always quiet before God.

Verse 1

Those used by God

don’t show outward love nor act to impress.

But when they say spiritual things,

they open their heart and selflessly provide

all people with the enlightenment

they’ve gained from actual experience before God.

That’s how they show their love for God

and satisfy God’s will.

Chorus

They’re lively, lovable, and innocent,

but possess a sense of calmness.

This is the likeness of those used by God.

Verse 2

Those used by God,

when they are slandered and ridiculed,

they’re able to not be controlled

by outside people, circumstance or things,

and still be quiet in front of God.

Such a person seems to have their own unique insights.

Regardless of what others do,

their heart never leaves God.

Chorus

They’re lively, lovable, and innocent,

but possess a sense of calmness.

This is the likeness of those used by God.

Verse 3

Those used by God,

when others chat with careless glee,

they remain calm and pray to God,

seek His intentions or think of His word.

They never think of how to maintain

proper relationships with other people.

Such a person doesn’t seem to have

philosophy of life.

Chorus

They’re lively, lovable, and innocent,

but possess a sense of calmness.

This is the likeness of those used by God.

Bridge

God’s standard of using man is that

they’re able to turn their hearts to Him,

yearning for His word, willing to seek the truth.

People as such can be enlightened,

gain the work of the Holy Spirit.

Chorus

They’re lively, lovable, and innocent,

but possess a sense of calmness.

This is the likeness of those used by God.
