The protagonist is a Christian who often heard his pastor say that pastors and elders are appointed by God, and that obeying them is equivalent to submitting to God. As a result, he relied on his pastor to make decisions in all matters. After hearing the fellowships and testimonies of brothers and sisters from The Church of Almighty God, he felt that their words carried enlightenment from God. However, due to the pastor's opposition, he dared not investigate further and felt conflicted and confused. Through reading Almighty God's words and watching gospel videos, he gained clarity on the principles of discerning between following God and following humans. This resolved his confusion, confirmed to him that Almighty God is the returned Lord Jesus, and led him to readily accept Almighty God's work of the last days.
