Since he was a child, the main character always regarded "Harmoniousness is a treasure; forbearance is brilliance" and "Keeping silent on the faults of good friends makes for a long and good friendship" as the basic rules to live by. He always tries to cultivate his relationships with others and is careful to never offend anyone. As a result, he is well liked by everyone around him. Then when he takes on a leadership position in the church, he finds that the brothers he works with aren't doing practical work—they are false leaders. However, anxious to maintain their relationships, he doesn't disclose and report this in a timely manner, which holds up the church's work. Then, through the judgment and revelation of God's words, he realizes that the satanic philosophies he has been following just corrupt and mislead people. He sees the truth of being a people pleaser, and begins to follow God's words and practice being an honest person, repenting and changing.
