The main character is a church leader who feels like some newcomers aren’t true believers and can be removed from the church when they don’t attend gatherings, even after receiving quite a bit of support. It’s not until she’s pruned and dealt with by her leader that she realizes she’s been delimiting people arbitrarily. After that, she begins offering support to these new believers again, resolving their practical problems by fellowshiping on God’s words, and some of them return to gatherings. At that point, she has greater regret for how she behaved and comes before God to reflect on herself. …
