168 A Choice Without Regret

Verse 1

When Satan’s evil continues to grow,

arresting and persecuting Christians,

when the city is dark and I must flee,

when human rights are stripped wantonly,

when my only company

is a long night in pain,

I shall not waver in my faith,

nor betray the Creator.

Pre-chorus 1

Almighty true God,

my heart belongs to You.

Prison can only hold my body,

but can’t stop me following You.

A bumpy road of suffering,

with Your words I’ll have no fear.

In the company of Your love,

my heart is sated.

Chorus

What an honor to follow Christ

and pursue loving God in life!

Since I have a heart and soul,

I should repay God’s love.

I’m willing to forsake all

to testify for God.

Giving my all to God

is a choice I’ll never regret.

Verse 2

The torture of Satan

grows ever more severe.

Searing pain and agony

finally reach their peak.

At the final moment

when my life will be taken,

I will not yield to the great red dragon

and be a shameful Judas.

Pre-chorus 2

Almighty true God,

I’ll be loyal unto death.

Satan can torture and kill my flesh,

but my faith and love for You stands.

Life and death are in Your hands.

I’ll give all to bear Your witness.

If I can bring shame on Satan,

I’ll die without complaint.

Chorus

What an honor to follow Christ

and pursue loving God in life!

Since I have a heart and soul,

I should repay God’s love.

I’m willing to forsake all

to testify for God.

Giving my all to God

is a choice I’ll never regret.
