493 Do You Wish to Be Fruit for God’s Enjoyment?

Verse 1

God’s people must always guard

against the schemes of Satan,

protect the gate of God’s house, support each other.

So you can avoid Satan’s trap and all regret.

Do you know why God trains you so urgently?

Pre-chorus 1

Why does He tell you facts of the spiritual world?

Why does He remind and exhort you time and again?

Have you given thought to this? Do you understand?

Chorus

You must grow more experienced based upon the past,

expel your impurities guided by today’s words.

Allow all of God’s words to take root and blossom

deep within your spirits, bearing fruit above all.

Verse 2

It’s not bright flowers that God desires,

but fruit that never goes bad.

Flowers in a greenhouse may be as many stars,

but once they fade, one pays no mind.

They become as tattered as the schemes of Satan.

Pre-chorus 2

Those braving sun and wind to bear God’s testimony,

though they’re not as pretty, they’ll bear fruit once they wither.

For the fruit they bear is what God requires.

How much do you understand when God speaks these words?

Chorus

You must grow more experienced based upon the past,

expel your impurities guided by today’s words.

Allow all of God’s words to take root and blossom

deep within your spirits, bearing fruit above all.

Outro

Once flowers wilt and bear fruit for God’s enjoyment,

His work on earth will be done,

and He will enjoy the fruit of His wisdom.
