54 My Heart’s Longing

Verse 1

The long journey of human lives,

full of wind, rain, many changes.

The drawn-out years, hard, desolate.

Black clouds create a dark abyss.

Satan holds sway, is so brutal,

rules like a tyrant, confines thoughts.

Verse 2

Tempted, man loses direction,

chasing fame, gain, bruised head to foot.

So hurt, drained of human likeness.

Full of wounds, tired in body and heart.

No strength left to fight, disheartened.

Nowhere to turn, in pain, perplexed.

Bridge 1

Yearning to find a true pure land.

Searching so hard, traveling the earth.

Heart full of gloom, I earnestly pray,

hoping the Lord saves me from grief.

Verse 3

With a crash, seven thunders ring out.

Christ of last days appears and works.

I’ve heard God’s words, come before Him.

I savor His words, know the truth.

The words of Christ water me,

I have myself felt God’s true love.

Verse 4

Through trials, pain and refinement,

life is enriched by constant growth.

Being judged, I shed corruption,

and attain cleansing, salvation.

And there will be no more tears, distress.

I bow before God, bare my heart.

Bridge 2

God chose me because of His love;

I am thankful for His salvation.

I practice truth, live before Him,

perform my duty, repay His love.

God chose me because of His love;

I am thankful for His salvation.

I practice truth, live before Him,

perform my duty, repay His love,

perform my duty, repay His love.
