668 God’s Refinement of Man Is Most Meaningful

Verse 1

Faced with man’s state and his attitude toward God,

God has done a new work, so that man can possess

both towards Him knowledge and obedience,

both love and testimony to Him.

Verse 2

Thus man must experience God’s refinement of him,

as well as His judgment, dealing and pruning of him,

without which man would never know God

and never be capable of truly loving Him.

Chorus

God’s refinement of man is not merely

for the sake of one-sided but multi-faceted effect.

Only in this way does God do the work of

refining on those willing to seek the truth.

So their resolve and love for God will be made perfect by God,

be made perfect by God, oh, be made perfect by God.

Bridge

Such a refinement is very meaningful

to those who seek the truth and yearn for God.

Such a refinement is very meaningful

to those who seek the truth and yearn for God.

Verse 3

During refinement, God makes public

His righteous disposition and His requirements.

And He provides more enlightenment

and makes more actual pruning and dealing.

Verse 4

Through comparison between the facts and truth,

He gives man a greater knowledge of himself.

He gives man a greater knowledge of the truth

and a greater understanding of God’s will.

Chorus

God’s refinement of man is not merely

for the sake of one-sided but multi-faceted effect.

Only in this way does God do the work of

refining on those willing to seek the truth.

So their resolve and love for God will be made perfect by God,

be made perfect by God, oh, be made perfect by God,

oh, be made perfect by God.
