669 Only Through Painful Trials Can You Know God’s Loveliness
Verse 1
The act of pursuing God’s satisfaction
is practicing God’s words with love for God.
No matter the time, if others lack strength,
the heart within you will still love God,
yearning for Him deeply and missing Him.
This is actual stature.
Chorus
Only through hardship and refinement
can man know God’s loveliness.
Having experienced ’till this time,
man knows part of God’s loveliness,
but it’s still not enough, ’cause man is so lacking.
More of God’s work he must experience,
more of God’s planned refinement and suffering;
only then can he change his life disposition.
Verse 2
Your stature’s greatness rests on your love for God,
on whether you can stand firm when tested.
Are you weak when in certain environments?
Can you stand your ground when you’re rejected?
The arrival of facts will truly show
what your love for God is like.
Chorus
Only through hardship and refinement
can man know God’s loveliness.
Having experienced ’till this time,
man knows part of God’s loveliness,
but it’s still not enough, ’cause man is so lacking.
More of God’s work he must experience,
more of God’s planned refinement and suffering;
only then can he change his life disposition.
Bridge
Through much of God’s work one sees
that He loves man truly,
although man’s spirit’s eyes
are not yet open wide,
and still man cannot observe
much of God’s will and work,
nor much of what makes God lovely,
and he does not love God sufficiently.
Chorus
Only through hardship and refinement
can man know God’s loveliness.
Having experienced ’till this time,
man knows part of God’s loveliness,
but it’s still not enough, ’cause man is so lacking.
More of God’s work he must experience,
more of God’s planned refinement and suffering;
only then can he change his life disposition.
Outro
Your belief in God remains consistent,
and it is through His harsh judgment
and His supreme salvation
that you’ve walked on the right way.
