The central figure in this story had expended himself enthusiastically ever since believing in the Lord. He frequently read the Bible and was convinced that “The Bible is wholly inspired by God, and all of God’s words are in it. If we believe in God, we cannot depart from the Bible. To do so would be heresy.” But when he heard The Church of Almighty God testify that the Lord Jesus has returned, that He is Almighty God, and that God has spoken new words, this was hard for him to accept. He believed that the words and work of Almighty God went beyond the Bible. Later, after he read Almighty God’s words, he finally understood that the Bible isn’t wholly inspired by God, and that moreover, the Bible does not hold eternal life, and that it is only by following Christ of the last days that one can gain truth and life. After a period of investigation, he joyfully accepted Almighty God’s work in the last days, and welcomed the Lord.
