Claire has good caliber and has accumulated some experience in her two years serving as a church leader, but she takes these positive qualities as capital and holds herself aloft, looking down on partners who have just started practicing. She acts arbitrarily in her work and never discusses work with anyone else, much less is she willing to listen to other people’s suggestions. As a result, problems continue cropping up in her work. After being pruned and dealt with, she begins to reflect: What corrupt dispositions are behind my arbitrary behavior? How should I partner with others in a way that accords with God’s will?
