The main character accepts Almighty God's work of the last days while in divinity school. Thinking of his father, a church deacon who is well-versed in the Scriptures and has served the Lord for many years, he decides to share the gospel with him as soon as possible. To his surprise, his father stubbornly clings to the literal words of the Bible and his religious notions, and refuses to seek and look into it. Much to his dismay, his father even kicks him out of the house. Spurred on by Almighty God's words, he decides to continue sharing the gospel and bearing witness to God after leaving home. His father unexpectedly gets in touch with him a couple of weeks later and says that, through prayer, seeking, and consulting the Scriptures, he has seen that the way his son shared with him accords with the Bible, and he now wants to seek and investigate God's work of the last days.
