The Facts of the CCP's Tyrannical Persecution of Christians, Ep. 6 The Blood and Tears of Elderly Christians—A 79-Year-Old Persecuted to Death for Holding to Her Faith
February 12, 2026
2024 was the first year of the CCP's "Three-Year Tough Battle" against The Church of Almighty God. From the beginning of the year, the arrests of Christians across the country continued without respite. On May 23, 2024, authorities in Bozhou City, Anhui Province, launched a coordinated arrest operation. 79-year-old Qin Mei and 21 other Christians were arrested from their homes for their belief in God. After being incarcerated this time, the people at the detention center repeatedly tried to force Qin Mei and the others to sign the "Three Statements" (guarantee, repentance, and renunciation) and give up their faith. Qin Mei and the others did not yield, and were subjected to corporal punishment, forced to sit on a hard plank for 13 to 14 hours a day. They were required to sit cross-legged, hands on their knees, and keep their bodies perfectly straight and still. Qin Mei's dentures were also confiscated, making it difficult for her to eat. The prolonged corporal punishment was more than the elderly and frail woman could bear. Just 21 days later, Qin Mei was tortured to death in the detention center, martyred by the CCP. In addition, the surviving Christians were left plagued by illnesses as a result of the CCP's torture. This report will continue to expose the truth of the CCP's persecution of Christians.
