In 2018, the CCP launched a series of special suppression operations targeting The Church of Almighty God, such as the "100-Day Battle" and "Operation Thunder." Christians from The Church of Almighty God across the country were continually subjected to arrests, home raids, torture, and brainwashing. According to incomplete statistics, in 2018 alone, at least 11,111 people were arrested; at least 685 were subjected to various forms of torture or forced brainwashing; 392 were sentenced to prison; and at least 20 Christians were persecuted to death. Liu Zhi (pseudonym) from Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, is just one of the many Christians who suffered such severe persecution. On September 18, 2018, Liu Zhi was suddenly arrested by the police. During his interrogation, Liu Zhi steadfastly refused to sign the "Three Statements" and was subjected to continuous torture and violent brainwashing by the CCP police, and was sentenced to 6 years in prison. The police even sadistically incited other inmates to thrust a bamboo skewer deep into his genitals and repeatedly lift each of Liu Zhi's legs to his head in turn, torturing him by forcibly stretching his tendons. This ultimately left him almost completely crippled and unable to walk normally. In this episode, we report on Liu Zhi's real experiences of being disabled by torture.
