The Facts of the CCP's Tyrannical Persecution of Christians, Ep. 17: Returning Christians Are Subjected to Arrest and Persecution by the CCP: Lives at Risk
June 15, 2026
In its bid to eradicate The Church of Almighty God and completely wipe out Christians, the CCP constantly launches mass arrest and persecution campaigns. It also recruits idlers on the fringes of society, including local thugs and hooligans, to help arrest Christians, and uses community workers to monitor and track them long-term. Furthermore, the CCP offers lavish financial rewards to mobilize the masses to report and help arrest Christians. Across the country, they have incited and deluded the public into launching a "people's war" in which Christians from The Church of Almighty God are reported, suppressed, and persecuted. To evade the CCP's frantic arrests, as well as public surveillance and reporting, Christians are forced to move from place to place to hide and can only hold secret gatherings in small groups of two or three. To follow God and do their duty, many Christians have had to bid farewell to their loved ones and leave their hometowns. Some flee to other regions, while others escape overseas after many twists and turns. All of them lead displaced, wandering lives under assumed identities. However, escaping overseas is not always plain sailing for these Christians. Some return to China because they cannot find work to survive, others because their asylum applications hit roadblocks, and still others because they are too ill to work. What will they face upon their return to China? What awaits them? In this episode, we interview two Christians who fled overseas but later returned. Through their accounts, let's learn some of the truth of the brutal persecution Christians face upon their return.
