The appearance and work of Almighty God mainly consists of uttering words and expressing the truth. Many people in the religious world see that Almighty God’s words are all the truth and the voice of God, and they are utterly convinced, acknowledging that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned. However, because the pastors and elders of the religious world and the CCP government fabricate rumors to condemn Almighty God as just an ordinary person and say that He cannot be God, some people lack discernment and are misled. They dare not be certain that Almighty God is Christ of the last days, the incarnate Son of man. So how exactly can we recognize the incarnate Son of man? First, we all acknowledge that the Lord Jesus is the Lord and Christ. Was the Lord Jesus not an ordinary person? From the outside, the Lord Jesus really was an ordinary person. When the Lord Jesus appeared and worked, the chief priests, scribes, and Pharisees of Judaism all said that the Lord Jesus was a Nazarene, a carpenter’s son. Therefore, they did not acknowledge that the Lord Jesus was the Lord and Christ, and they even nailed Him to the cross. Today, Almighty God has appeared and is working. No matter how many truths Almighty God expresses, the pastors and elders of the religious world still judge and condemn Almighty God, saying that Almighty God is an ordinary person and cannot be God. They are making the same mistake as the chief priests, scribes, and Pharisees of Judaism. In fact, our belief in Almighty God today is based on all the truths expressed by Almighty God, and it is also based on the prophecies of the Lord Jesus in the Bible. The Lord Jesus prophesied time and again that His return would be “the Son of man coming” and “the coming of the Son of man.” For example, He said: “As the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27). “As the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:37). Then what does “the coming of the Son of man” refer to? It refers to God becoming incarnate as an ordinary person, just like the Lord Jesus. God has never said that He would appear to people in the image of an exceptional figure or great person when He returned. Then what is the greatest difference between this Son of man who appears ordinary on the outside and other people? It is that He can express the truth. Although the Son of man is ordinary on the outside and has normal humanity like any other person, He has divinity within Him, and He can express the truth. But humans only have their humanity—nothing else. Mankind cannot express the truth, and no exceptional figure or great person can express the truth. Almighty God incarnate in the last days has expressed so many truths, a hundred times—a thousand times—more than what the Lord Jesus expressed back then. Having heard the voice of God, God’s chosen people in countries around the world have recognized that it is the truth and recognized that Almighty God is the appearance of God, and they have flocked to follow Almighty God. They experience the judgment and chastisement of Almighty God’s words, their corrupt dispositions are cleansed, and they are made into overcomers by God. This ordinary Son of man can express so many truths, do such great work, and conquer and save so many people—this is something no human could achieve. From the outside, Almighty God is indeed an ordinary person, but once you read all the truths expressed by Almighty God, you would no longer say that He is an ordinary person. You would say, “Just like the Lord Jesus, He has both humanity and divinity. He is absolutely the incarnate God Himself. Almighty God has expressed so many truths—this is far greater than any sign or wonder. If the Holy Spirit did not dwell within Him, it would be absolutely impossible for Him to express so many truths. Therefore, we cannot believe the pastors and elders of the religious world when they say that ‘Almighty God is an ordinary person’!” If this Son of man could not express the truth, it would not be wrong for you to say that He is an ordinary person. But He can express all truths, and He is doing a stage of judgment work, so He is the incarnate God. If you still dare to say that He is just an ordinary person, then you are blaspheming God. It is just like when the Lord Jesus appeared and worked by becoming incarnate two thousand years ago. Before He officially began to perform His ministry, it would have been quite understandable if you’d said He was an ordinary person, because people cannot recognize God just by looking at His outward appearance. But after the Lord Jesus expressed many truths and was nailed to the cross to redeem all mankind, two billion people around the world call Him the Savior Jesus, follow Him, and believe in Him. Would you still dare to say He is an ordinary person? If you still said He was an ordinary person, then you would be someone who blasphemes God. Therefore, what exactly is the basis for discerning whether someone is the incarnate God or an ordinary person? The basis is His essence, that is to say, His words and His work. The fact that He can express so many truths proves that He has a divine essence, and at the very least, the Holy Spirit dwells within Him. Although you cannot see His divine essence from the outside, the fact that He can express so many truths is the best evidence. Therefore, you can determine with complete certainty whether Almighty God is an ordinary person or the incarnate God mainly by looking at the fact that He has expressed so many truths and is doing the work of judgment in the last days. Just as Almighty God says: “He who is God incarnate possesses the essence of God, and He who is God incarnate possesses the expression of God. Since God has become flesh, He brings with Him the work He intends to do, and since He is God incarnate, He expresses what He is, and is able to bring the truth to man, bestow life upon him, and point the way for him. Flesh that does not have the essence of God is decidedly not the incarnate God; of this there is no doubt. If man intends to examine whether it is God’s incarnate flesh, then he must determine this from the disposition He expresses and the words He speaks. Which is to say, to determine whether or not it is God’s incarnate flesh, and whether or not it is the true way, one must discriminate on the basis of His essence. And so, the key to whether or not it is the flesh of God incarnate lies in His essence (His work, His utterances, His disposition, and many other aspects), rather than external appearance. If man examines only His external appearance, and as a result overlooks His essence, this shows that man is foolish and ignorant” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Preface). Today, no matter how many years they have believed in God, those who believe in Almighty God and pursue the truth have understood many truths, can know themselves and practice the truth, and have borne some experiential testimonies of casting off their corrupt dispositions. They all feel fortunate that they believe in Almighty God, have understood so many truths, have embarked onto the right path of life, and have attained God’s salvation. This is a blessing bestowed on them by God! Those who do not accept Almighty God can only fall into disaster, wailing and gnashing their teeth. This is the outcome for those who do not accept the Son of man who expresses the truth and fail to welcome the Lord.
