How to Pursue the Truth (28)
We have previously fellowshipped a lot about this aspect, the truths concerning God incarnate. We’ve fellowshipped several times on some specific content involving the normality and practicality of God incarnate. Have you come to understand more about this topic now? (Yes.) Have you gained a further understanding of the normality and practicality of God incarnate—Christ—and Christ’s essence? (Yes.) Then have you been able to let go of some of your notions and imaginings about God incarnate? (Yes.) If you are simply learning about someone, whether it’s learning about their disposition or learning about how they conduct themselves, you are more or less just learning about the various aspects of the ordinary person that they are—their personality and temper, or the ways and methods by which they conduct themselves, their philosophies for worldly dealings, their pursuits, some of their interests and hobbies, or some of their innate problems. At most, that is just learning about the humanity of this person and does not involve the truth in the slightest. This is with regard to learning about an ordinary person. Therefore, no matter which person or which type of person among humankind you learn about, regardless of how much you find out about them, how deeply you understand them, or whether or not your grasp of them is comprehensive, none of this involves the truth. However, learning about God incarnate is different; topics that entail learning about the various aspects of God incarnate all involve the truth. The incarnation is a special form adopted by God according to the needs of His work, and is directly related to various aspects involving God, such as God’s identity, God’s essence, and God’s disposition; knowing God incarnate is also a part of knowing God, and pertains to knowing God, and to the truths regarding knowing God that people ought to understand. Therefore, knowing God incarnate is an aspect of the truth that people must understand and come to know as they follow God to achieve knowledge of God and submission to God. Because knowing the incarnate God and knowing the various aspects of the truth expressed by God incarnate all involve the truth reality that people ought to understand and enter into in their belief in God, knowing the incarnate God cannot be equated with knowing an ordinary person, a corrupt human being. The reason they cannot be equated is that knowing God incarnate involves the truth of knowing God, which is a part of knowing the Creator. No matter what this content entails, in short, it involves knowing the Creator, it involves knowing God Himself, and of course, it also involves how to let go of one’s notions and imaginings about God. It can be said that once you have understood God incarnate and understood the truths concerning God incarnate, to a large extent you have already come to know a part of God’s essence and God’s disposition. Of course, correspondingly, you will largely let go of many of your notions and imaginings about God—that is, your notions and imaginings about the God in heaven and the Creator. Letting go of these notions and imaginings can, at the very least, help you have a more accurate understanding and a more exact genuine knowledge of God. So what role do this knowledge and understanding play? They play a very great role. Perhaps when you do not know God, you feel that God is the One people are familiar with in their minds and thoughts, or in their traditional notions, and the One who is invisible and intangible. But when you learn about and come to know the normality and practicality of God incarnate, as well as His disposition and essence, you will have genuine knowledge of God. This genuine knowledge can enable you to accurately and genuinely submit to God, rather than having false submission that exists only in notions and imaginings. Which is more genuine and more accurate—the faith and submission born of people’s notions and imaginings, or the faith in and submission toward God that comes from having genuine knowledge of Him? Can you tell? The faith that arises from having knowledge of God is not faith based on people’s notions and imaginings; rather, this faith is built upon the foundation of a genuine, accurate knowledge of God. Therefore, for you, this faith can allow you to more accurately grasp and understand God’s intentions in real life, and to more accurately know, in every real environment or among real people, events, and things, how to act in accordance with God’s intentions, how to act in a way that is accurate, is genuine submission to God, and reflects genuine faith in and looking to God. Viewed from any angle, knowing the incarnate God is not as simple as learning about and knowing an ordinary person, because many aspects of the truth are involved, such as the essence of God and the essence of man, created beings and the Creator. Previously, I gave some examples and spoke of some truths regarding knowing God; people should not treat these topics as ordinary topics, but should try to know them as an aspect of the truth. This is because God incarnate is, after all, flesh in which God’s Spirit is truly and actually materialized, and a person with a divine essence; He is God’s representative on earth and also the expression of God’s work on earth. In terms of doing work and in terms of His essence, He is fully capable of representing the God in heaven. Although there are limitations in terms of His form, and outwardly He may seem insufficient to represent the God in heaven, in terms of His essence and the disposition He possesses, He is fully capable of representing the God in heaven. Therefore, in light of this, people should treat the various aspects of the truth involving God incarnate seriously and learn about them carefully. Only when you treat them seriously and put your heart into learning about them can you truly understand God. It is only when you have truly understood the God on earth that, to a very large extent, you can understand the God in heaven and understand the Creator. You simply cannot see how the Creator—God—speaks in heaven and throughout the universe and all things, in what manner He treats people, with what attitude He treats people, how He does things, what His thoughts are, and other such issues involving God’s disposition and essence. But when God becomes flesh and comes to earth to become an ordinary person, to become a person with a form and an image, and with flesh and blood, His disposition and essence can be understood by people during the period in which He works and interacts and associates with people. Through His various words and deeds, and the full range of emotions He expresses, you can understand what God is actually like, what the forms of His various emotions are like, and what His ways and principles of doing things are, as well as the attitudes with which He acts. You will understand Him more specifically and be able to touch, see, and hear Him more concretely. This all in turn is more beneficial for you to understand the God in heaven. God incarnate you can see and touch; the words He speaks you can hear with your ears, and the principles and methods by which He handles things you can witness with your eyes. This is equivalent to you having a personal encounter with the speaking and working of God incarnate and having knowledge of the incarnate God; in this way, you also come to have a certain understanding and knowledge of the God in heaven. If you understand the truths expressed by God incarnate, you will be able to know God’s disposition—what you know, then, is precisely this aspect of the essence of the God in heaven. Therefore, how God incarnate works and speaks on earth, what dispositions He reveals, and what kind of essence He has—to a large extent, these have already allowed you, under this limited condition, to accurately witness, hear with your own ears, or understand and know God’s words and deeds, God’s ways of speaking and working, and even God’s disposition and essence. I’ve spoken some about these truths regarding God incarnate before, but it was never very specific; this time, I’ve spoken a lot about them in specific terms. I hope that after hearing this, you will not treat this aspect of the truth as an ordinary truth regarding practice or an ordinary truth regarding knowing various kinds of people, but rather treat it as a truth regarding knowing God. This is because, whether in theory or in reality, the incarnate God and the God in heaven are one; the incarnate God is God’s expression and manifestation on earth and also the One entrusted with God’s work on earth. No matter which way you put it, in terms of essence and disposition, this incarnate Son of man is before all else one with and compatible with the God in heaven, the Creator. Since They are one, knowing the incarnate God is a pathway to knowing the God in heaven. Of course, knowing the incarnate God is also one of the best opportunities for you to know the God in heaven, and presents the most favorable condition for doing so. Isn’t this so? (Yes.) Would you say I’m exaggerating? (No.) Does what I say accord with the facts? (It does.)
Some people say, “The God in heaven can create all things, hold sovereignty over all things, and hold sovereignty over the fate of humankind. Can the incarnate God do this? Since God incarnate and the God in heaven are one, and since God incarnate can represent the God in heaven, can He create all things? Can He hold sovereignty over all things?” When someone shares a viewpoint like this, how do you explain it? Tell Me, can God incarnate do the work of creating all things and holding sovereignty over all things? (Yes.) On what basis do you say “yes”? Tell Me your viewpoint. What do you think? (Because God incarnate is also God Himself, He can do the work of creating all things and holding sovereignty over all things. It’s just that God incarnate has the work that He ought to do; He does not do that other work.) This is one way of putting it. In terms of theory, is this statement correct? Is it distorted or erroneous in any way? (No.) This statement means that God incarnate can certainly do the work of creating all things and holding sovereignty over all things; it just depends on whether He does it or not. If He does not do it, then you can’t see it happening, but if He were to do it, then He absolutely could. This theory is correct, but isn’t there a gap between this theory and what we are fellowshipping regarding knowing the essence and the normality and practicality of God incarnate? (Yes.) Then give this some more thought. How should this be fellowshipped to resolve this issue? (God, I would like to add something. God’s essence is the truth, and God’s Spirit can express the truth; the incarnate God also primarily expresses the truth. The authority of the truth itself can hold sovereignty over everything and control everything. I feel that this can show that the incarnate God and the God in heaven are one and that the incarnate God can also hold sovereignty over all things.) Is this statement correct? This statement is correct, but it has not yet gotten to the root of the issue, and it has not resolved the practical issue. This proves that this statement is just a theory. In terms of the form of God incarnate, He is restricted by innate conditions and the instincts of the flesh—from the outside, it seems He cannot do things like God’s Spirit does. In fact, it’s not that He cannot do them, but rather that, given that He has become flesh, He has come to do the work that God incarnate ought to undertake, and He does not do work that is unrelated to the work proper to Him. Because God incarnate has a side to Him that is normal and practical, outwardly it seems that, restricted by the innate condition of being in the flesh and various objective factors, He cannot be compared with the God in heaven. However, in terms of the essence of God incarnate, He can create all things and can also control all things. Because His essence is God’s essence and His life is God’s life, He can do these things. What you just said did not get to the root of this issue, nor did it address the focal point of this issue. So what is the focal point of this issue? That the incarnate God can create all things and hold sovereignty over all things is a fact; it is not a theory, nor is it a mere statement, much less is it a human notion. So where are the manifestations that show that God incarnate can do the work of creating all things and holding sovereignty over all things? Because God incarnate has God’s essence and God’s life, He can express God’s words. As for God’s words, they themselves carry authority and power; they can accomplish everything, they can create everything, and, of course, they can also hold sovereignty over everything. Isn’t this a fact? (Yes.) He accomplishes the words that He Himself expresses, and no force can hinder this. You see, the words spoken by God incarnate, this ordinary person, all carry authority and power, no matter what kind of words they are or what they’re about. This is one thing. Additionally, no matter how many years it takes, the words He speaks are accomplished and fulfilled one by one, without fail, just as God says in His own words, “God means what He says, what He means shall be done, and what He does shall last forever.” This statement is the most genuine and specific explanation regarding God creating all things and holding sovereignty over all things. From the first word He ever spoke up until today, every single word is gradually being fulfilled and accomplished to varying degrees, in different corners of the world, and in different periods. From this perspective, can God incarnate do the work of holding sovereignty over everything? (Yes.) Do you see the facts in this regard? (Yes.) This is one aspect of the facts. Another aspect is that, these words expressed by God incarnate—if you accept this stage of God’s work, come before God, and are able to accept these words—can become your life, change your outlook on life, and change the direction of your self-conduct. Those who accept these words are judged, chastised, exposed, condemned, or even cursed by them, but ultimately they are all conquered by these words. After being conquered by these words, people who pursue the truth ultimately gain them; God’s words and the truth soon become their life, and when this happens, these people become a new humankind. The birth of a new humankind—tell Me, is this the result achieved by God’s words? (Yes.) Although this new humankind and the humankind from the time of Adam and Eve were both created by God, the form and method of their creation are different. The birth of this new humankind means that God has used words to once again create a humankind. So, since God incarnate uses words to create humankind, do you think it can also be said that God incarnate can create all things? (Yes.) The people who now accept this stage of work, accept God’s words, and accept God’s chastisement and judgment and are cleansed, are a completely different type of people from the humans during the time of Adam and Eve or corrupt humans—they are two types of people with different lives. Those who accept God’s words as their life are members of a new humankind; they have cast off the old nature of corrupt humankind, they have God’s words as their life, and they have become a new humankind, soon to enter a new age, a new epoch. With this in mind, can it be said that God’s incarnate flesh has once again created a new humankind? He has used words to create a new humankind that has God’s words as their life. This is one aspect. This is the work done by God incarnate. Judging from the effects of His work and the final result, He can do the work of creating all things and holding sovereignty over all things. The reason He can do this work is that God’s Spirit dwells within this flesh, and it has a divine essence, God’s power, and God’s authority, and of course, it even more so possesses the truth that God possesses. The God in heaven—the Creator—used words to create all things; He spoke, and it came into being; He commanded, and it was established. And this final stage of work done by God incarnate is exactly the same as the work of the God in heaven using words to accomplish everything and using words to create all things; they are of the same nature. Although the flesh that God became to do this stage of work looks like an ordinary, normal person, who hasn’t had any earth-shattering achievements or done any earth-shattering deeds, the words He has spoken and the truths He has expressed over these many years have already gained Him a group of people and have already gradually worked God’s words and the truth into people. Before long, a new humankind with God’s words as their life will be born; this is the work done by God incarnate. What work is this? It is using words to accomplish God’s final stage of work, working words into people, and also using words to once again create a new humankind. This is one aspect. Another is that starting from the time God became flesh for the second time to do work, God’s second stage of work—the work of the Age of Grace—was declared over and brought to a close. Once the Age of Grace ended, the Holy Spirit’s work of the Age of Grace and all the work God did in the Age of Grace were declared over. The entire religious world, in terms of its religious form and God’s definition of it, became a thing of the past. The Holy Spirit’s work in the churches and groups of the Age of Grace was withdrawn when God began to do the work of judgment in the last days. That is to say, from the moment God incarnate appeared and worked, and uttered words and spoke, the entire religious world was characterized by God as religious venues and religious groups; they were no longer places where God worked, nor were they objects of God’s care. God had already left them, which is to say, the Holy Spirit was no longer working on them. Whether it was Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, or the like, they were all characterized as religions. The Holy Spirit does not work among them. God’s work has completely entered a new age, a new epoch. That is, from the time God became flesh for the second time and formally began to do work and express His words, the Age of Grace completely ended. All the work and activities of the religious world were also declared over because God incarnate began to express words and the various aspects of the truth of this stage of work. This declaration of their being over means that for all of humankind, there is a new formulation concerning belief, religious form, and the characterization of religious names. That age has passed, which is to say, the Age of Grace has completely ended. Now that we have this new formulation, it can be determined that Christianity or Catholicism is no longer revered among humankind as a leading religion guiding trends in the belief of humankind, but has already become a thing of the past. This is because God incarnate has already begun to lead humankind, which is about to enter the next new age and is about to step into a new age. From the time God incarnate began to step into the next age, Christianity became a thing of the past among all of humankind; it became an old religion. Of course, from the time God incarnate began to do work and express words, all of humankind were, unbeknownst to them, brought into a new age, a new epoch. Across all of humankind, whether topics or buzzwords involving religion, or certain trend indicators in various fields, all of these are also developing in a new direction and being brought into a new epoch. Of course, the words expressed and the work done by God incarnate, as well as the various spiritual terms and sayings popular in the church, or some thoughts and views involving belief, in the time to come, will influence this humankind for a period of time, just as Christianity has influenced all of humankind for two thousand years in various spheres. As God’s work spreads, and the gospel spreads, the words spoken by God incarnate, or some sayings and some thoughts and views within the scope of this stage of God’s work in the church, will gradually guide and lead humankind in the next age, and steer the way they live; this is the trend. Of course, when God incarnate began this stage of work, because of the shift of the Holy Spirit’s work, the religious world lost the work of the Holy Spirit and fell into a state of desolation. It can practically be said that the religious world was eliminated and dismantled by this stage of work. That is to say, the arrival of God incarnate and the beginning of this stage of God’s work are not only a challenge to the entire world, to humankind, and to their belief, but also a condemnation, and—of course—a kind of change, right? (Yes.) Since God incarnate began to express words and do this stage of work, the direction of all humankind’s belief has been completely changed, and the religious world has also been completely changed; these are all facts. These words spoken by God incarnate and these various topics involving the truth will gradually spread to all countries and places of the world in the future, spreading to various fields and religious groups. The different thoughts and views that these words touch on will soon influence the religious world and this humankind, and, of course, they will soon change this humankind and the religious world, changing the current situation of humankind and the religious world. This is equivalent to saying that this stage of God’s work is once again using His words and the viewpoints He expresses on various things to influence all of humankind and the religious world. As for these words themselves, they have enough authority and power to change humankind, this world, and the religious world, to sort humans according to their kind and classify them, and to declare their outcomes and destinations. Of course, as God expresses all these words, God’s Spirit is also ceaselessly changing various circumstances and exercising His sovereignty over all things. Wherever these words spoken by God incarnate spread, regardless of whether those who hear and read them accept them or resist them, these words stir them, and all who come into contact with them are gradually revealed and classified. That is, in the presence of these words, people of every kind—those who love the truth and those who are averse to the truth; corrupt humans, devils, animals, and walking corpses; those with all sorts of pursuits and those with all sorts of thoughts and views; as well as those who believe in God with various notions, ambitions, and desires—have their true colors revealed. In this way, people are all sorted according to their kind: God’s sheep who love the truth return to God’s house; those who do not love or accept the truth, meanwhile, are not God’s sheep—they have the door shut on them and are condemned and eliminated. People of this type, who are condemned and eliminated, will shortly await the judgment of the great day spoken of in God’s words—that is the punishment of evil people spoken of in God’s words. The impact that God doing this stage of work and speaking these words has on humankind, both now and in the future, is entirely the result achieved by God’s words, and is all achieved by the might of God’s words. These words are all the work done and the words spoken by God during the period of His incarnation. Then tell Me, judging from this impact, or from the various results that have already been achieved and that people can see, can God incarnate—in terms of His essence and His identity—do the work of creating all things and holding sovereignty over all things? (Yes, He can.) Saying “He can” is not a doctrine or a mere statement, right? (Right.) Although God incarnate, in terms of form, is not as mysterious and unfathomable or as powerful as the God in heaven or God’s Spirit, in terms of His essence and His life, and in terms of the words He expresses, He is fully capable of creating a new humankind, of changing this world and changing humankind, and of holding sovereignty over humankind. This is because God incarnate using words to accomplish all of this is completely compatible and entirely consistent with the God in heaven using words to accomplish everything. In terms of the outward form that is God’s incarnation, and His outward appearance, it seems that He cannot do the work done by the God in heaven and does not possess the authority and power of the God in heaven. However, in terms of His essence and life, He can do the work of using words to accomplish everything, create everything, and change everything, right? (Yes.) Take a look at how things are today: Whether it’s the religious world or this world itself, what their forms are like and what state they’re in are all related to God’s words. In one respect, all of it fulfills the words spoken by God; in another respect, they are eliminated because of God’s expression of His new words and His expression of the truth. However you look at it, whichever state they are currently in, these states are all changed by God’s words, come about as a result of God’s words, and are related to the words God expresses and all aspects of what God says. As the gospel spreads and God’s words are disseminated more widely, more people—people from all the countries in the world, people of all races and from all fields—will come and accept this new stage of God’s work. In this way, more people will accept God’s words, more people will be changed by God’s words, and more people will gain God’s words and become a new humankind. Of course, as the gospel spreads and God’s words are disseminated more widely, in the near future—this near future will certainly be much shorter than the two thousand years of the Age of Grace—humankind’s belief, and their thoughts and views on all kinds of matters, are going to be changed by God’s words. Those who do not believe in or acknowledge God’s words, and those who do not acknowledge God, will also be impacted by these words to varying degrees. Judging from these results, it ultimately comes down to the fact of the truth that the words spoken by God incarnate can accomplish everything and change everything, right? (Yes.)
Judging from these aspects of the content we have fellowshipped, is there any gap between the work done and words spoken by God incarnate, and the work and words of the God in heaven? (No.) There’s no contradiction between the fact that God incarnate can do the work of creating all things and holding sovereignty over all things, and the fact that the God in heaven created all things and holds sovereignty over all things; there’s no distance or gap between these two facts. This point should be beyond doubt. This certainty is not a theory, nor is it a notion or an imagining, much less is it just a pleasant saying; rather, it’s something we say based on facts. Another important point is that no matter what God incarnate says or what kind of work He intends to do, in one respect, His words themselves possess authority and power, and can achieve the result of accomplishing everything. In another, as His words are issued, God’s Spirit is also working in parallel with them to accomplish all of this. This is something no person can achieve with their words or actions. Regardless of what any ordinary person, such as a prophet, a renowned figure, or an expert, does—whether they try to speculate or predict something, talk about some phenomenon, or release some report—they cannot clearly explain how things will specifically develop or what will happen, and they don’t dare to say with one hundred percent certainty, “These words will inevitably be accomplished and will inevitably become fact.” This is something that is beyond people. But with God, because every word spoken by God incarnate is the expression of God’s disposition and essence, and comes from God, no matter what it is He’s talking about, it will inevitably be accomplished and fulfilled. In one regard, this is the might and authority of God’s words. In another regard, you should realize that this is God’s Spirit at work. Can it also be said that while God incarnate is doing work, God’s Spirit is also working, and that the flesh and the Spirit are inseparable and are one? (Yes.) Then tell Me, when God incarnate is speaking, is it this flesh speaking or is it God’s Spirit speaking? Can you explain this clearly? It’s God expressing words, right? Precisely because it is God expressing words, His words can all be accomplished, and are all being fulfilled. We’ve fellowshipped so much about this—has the issue we just mentioned been resolved? (Yes.) God’s words accomplish everything, and God uses words to create all things—tell Me, isn’t this the truth? Isn’t this a fact? (Yes.) This is the truth, and it is also a fact. Therefore, the results achieved by the work done by God incarnate are not something an ordinary person can achieve, and the nature and essence of His work and words are not those of an ordinary person’s words. If one were to ask, “Can people create all things, hold sovereignty over all things, and accomplish everything?” we could definitively answer, “No!” If one were to ask, “Then can God incarnate create all things, hold sovereignty over all things, and accomplish everything?” we should not hesitate at all, and definitively reply, “Yes!” These words are not doctrine, but truths and facts.
Previously, when only the first volume of The Word Appears in the Flesh had been expressed and lots of people went out to preach the gospel, quite a few religious people read God’s words and accepted this stage of God’s work; the religious world completely fell apart. Now, the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh volumes have all been expressed, and have subsequently spread to each corner and religious venue of every race and country. When these words are made public to all of humankind, tell Me, what effect will that have? What kind of scene will it be? Humankind will be different, right? (Yes.) During one year in which the gospel was spread widely throughout China, some people braved the danger to go preaching the gospel everywhere, in places like streets, factories, and villages. At that time, there were truly so many people who accepted the gospel. When only the first volume of The Word Appears in the Flesh had been expressed, there were already many people who believed and acknowledged that this is the true way. Some people acknowledged it was the true way but did not dare to accept it because of the frantic suppression, arrests, and persecution by the great red dragon, yet God’s words still spread throughout the entirety of China. The Church of Almighty God was established in every province, city, and county. This left the great red dragon trembling with fear; it did its utmost to carry out suppression and arrests, and even threatened that “The forces shall only withdraw once the eradication is complete.” But no one expected that ten years later, God’s words would spread to all countries and places of the world. In particular, we’ve witnessed the continual wide spread of the gospel work in the Philippines in Asia, in North America and South America, and in Europe and Africa. When preaching the gospel in China, there was a term called “group evangelism,” which referred to preaching the gospel to several or dozens of people at the same time, which produced particularly good results. Later, due to the frantic suppression and arrests by the great red dragon, this method was halted, but it has become popular again in some other countries. In some Asian countries, they do not call it “group evangelism,” but rather “spreading the gospel to whole villages, schools, and factories,” and they even spread the gospel to government agencies, police stations, and military units. A similar scene emerged: Many people have accepted the gospel. All of humankind, no matter what industry they are in, what group they are a part of, or what ethnic group they are from, live in darkness, helplessness, and disorientation. They do not know how to live, and do not know how to conduct themselves; humankind needs God’s salvation. This salvation is not a formality, nor is it a ritual. Rather, saving people requires God’s words, the leading of God’s words, the guidance and enlightenment of God’s words, and God using explicit language to point out the direction and path for people, and also to teach people how to conduct themselves, what kind of people to be, what kind of path to walk, and what principles to follow with each matter they encounter. This humankind needs these truths so much. Therefore, when the people preaching the gospel spread it to whole villages, towns, schools, factories, military units, and police stations, they read aloud some relevant words of God and also testified to God’s three stages of work. Most gospel recipients were willing to listen and accept, and they also wanted to participate in church life—it was just that their conditions at the time did not permit this; they were subject to some restrictions. But judging from these phenomena that have occurred during the spread of the gospel, this humankind lives particularly sad, pitiful lives, and they need the guidance of God’s words. Only God’s words can provide them with direction and goals, enable them to live better, and enable them to continue to survive, no longer suffering the affliction of Satan or of evil trends. If all of humankind accepted these words of God, and accepted God’s provision and the guidance of God’s words from Him, then tell Me, wouldn’t they live very happily? (Yes.) One thing is for certain: If this humankind accepted the provision and guidance of God’s words, they would live amid God’s blessings and no longer suffer the affliction of Satan, and their outcome would be different from that of this current corrupt humankind. Isn’t this so? (Yes.) Have you heard some things about these situations regarding preaching the gospel? (Yes.) With people who’ve believed in God for many years, after they’ve read these words of God for a long time, they merely feel in their hearts, “These are God’s words, these words are good, and they are the truth,” without feeling very excited. But with those who have only just heard these words, they feel nourishment deep within their hearts, like fish finding their way back to a stream. There is a saying, “as refreshing as rain after a long drought”—this is exactly how they feel. Therefore, many people have been willing to accept God’s words after hearing them. Students in schools, police officers and police chiefs in police stations, and government officials have all been willing to accept them. There are even pastors in the religious world who have taken the lead in accepting them, bringing some fellow clergy members and believers into the church. No matter how you look at it, the words spoken and the truths expressed by God incarnate can not only supply humankind’s needs, but also change their fate. Therefore, the truths concerning knowing God incarnate are very important, and knowing Him is a part of knowing God; there is no doubt about this. Have you come to know these things? (Through God fellowshipping like this, we have somewhat come to know them. In the past, our knowledge of God incarnate was all doctrine; we knew that God holds sovereignty over everything, but we did not see the facts. After God’s fellowship, it has become clearer to us.) Now that it’s clearer to you, do you have more faith? (Yes.) If one day in your local church most people develop doubts about God, don’t dare to believe anymore, and lose their faith because of the government’s persecution and the world’s rejection, leaving you as the only one remaining, and on top of that, many people judge and condemn you, saying, “What you believe in is a person; you have been misled,” what would you do? (I would ignore them and continue to believe.) Would you be affected? Would you feel lonely? Would you also develop doubts, thinking to yourself, “So many people in this world don’t believe; is my belief actually right? What can I gain by continuing to believe like this? Will I have a good outcome and destination?” Would you think this way? (Seeing now that many of God’s words have already been accomplished and fulfilled, we would not have these thoughts, but sometimes we would still have some weakness.) Weakness is nothing to fear. There is one point which, if you can be certain of it, will prevent you from stumbling because of this weakness. You must remember this point: No matter how normal and practical God incarnate is, even if you see what you consider to be defects and inadequacies in Him, or even if you hear some baseless rumors, or you learn that God incarnate has been ill and has had manifestations of pain and weakness, none of these are problems. No matter how normal and practical God incarnate is, no matter how ordinary He is, and no matter what His outward appearance is like, just firmly hold fast to one thing—He is the truth, the way, and the life. This is your reason for following Him, and it is also the basis of your belief in God. If you can be certain of this point, that is enough, and you will never have regrets. You follow Him for no other reason than because He is the truth, the way, and the life; He can bring you before God, He can represent God, and He is God’s manifestation, God’s expression, and the One entrusted with God’s work on earth. It is right for you to follow Him. In following Him, you are not following a person, but rather following God. You are a follower of God, one of God’s sheep; you have not taken the wrong path. In following Him, you will never take the wrong path and will never lose your bearings. In following Him, you are a created being of God; you can never go wrong by following Him. Once you are certain of this, the foundation of your belief in God is laid. No matter how normal and practical God incarnate seems to you, no matter what baseless rumors or fallacies you hear, or what notions you still have that are unresolved, none of that matters. Even if you have weakness and pain, that does not matter either. As long as you have true faith, as long as you can seek the truth to resolve whatever problems you encounter, and you never leave God at any time, in the end you will certainly be someone gained by God, a member of the new humankind that enters the next age, and you will be one who is blessed. Therefore, at all times, you must not be influenced by the external environment, by any remarks, by anyone you consider to be a great figure or person of renown, or by anyone you worship. All you have to do is firmly believe that the One who is the truth, the way, and the life is God Himself—that is enough.
What we fellowshipped on just now was the importance of the truths concerning knowing God incarnate. Because God incarnate is fully capable of representing God Himself in doing God’s own work, then naturally, the influence of the words He speaks and the work He does on all of humankind will also gradually come about and be seen by you. No matter what, the work done by God incarnate is the work done by God Himself, and the words He expresses are the words expressed by God Himself. That is to say, no matter what God incarnate’s image or outward appearance is like, He is fully capable of representing God Himself. Therefore, knowing God incarnate is also a part of knowing God, and you should not overlook the truths in this regard. If you want to know God and know the God in heaven, and if you want to let go of your notions and imaginings about the God in heaven, then first you must know the God on earth, know God incarnate, and let go of your notions and imaginings about God incarnate. Doing so can help even more in increasing your faith in God and solidifying your foundation as a follower of God. As long as you are certain that God incarnate is God Himself, and that He is the truth, the way, and the life, then you will not regard Him as a person. The more you follow Him and experience His words and work, the more you will feel, “This ordinary person is not ordinary. He is not an ordinary person in the true sense of the term; rather, He is an ordinary person with God’s essence.” Once you realize this, you will not regard Him as a member of ordinary corrupt humankind, but will treat Him as a person with God’s identity and essence. This will be different from how you treat a member of ordinary corrupt humankind, using the philosophies for worldly dealings and ways of handling things that exist among people; rather, you will treat God incarnate the way you’d treat God. By treating this incarnate Son of man like this, you can come to know Him. When you treat Him the way God requires, you do not need to be fearful and worried, nor do you need to be overcautious, much less do you need to be guarded. Rather, you should treat Him with the method and attitude most correct for treating God. This way of treating Him is, of course, also the way a created being ought to treat God. What were the ways of treating God that we mentioned before? Do you still remember? (The first is being open and honest, the second is showing respect, and the third is obeying His words.) Being open and honest, showing respect, and obeying His words—these are the three ways. You see, these three ways are only a few words in total. Outwardly, they seem quite easy to achieve, but if the position you assume is wrong, and your attitude is wrong, they are very difficult to achieve. You see, they are easy to understand literally, but not easy to achieve. Tell Me, if people cannot achieve being open and honest, showing respect, and obeying the words of God incarnate, can they achieve this with the God in heaven? (No.) Why not? (Because if people do not have true knowledge of God, they will treat God based on their notions and imaginings.) This is determined by people’s essence and corrupt dispositions. It has nothing to do with how you internally restrain yourself or what kind of wishes you have; if your corrupt dispositions are not resolved, it will be very difficult to treat God in these three ways. If you resolve some of your corrupt dispositions, and you also have a basic understanding and knowledge of God, you will be able to achieve some of this, and will be able to assume your proper position as a created being, and treat Him from this position. To achieve these three points, for one thing, you must resolve some corrupt dispositions and have your rationality somewhat restored; and for another, you must have some knowledge of God. It will not do to not know God, right? (Yes.) This is the case in how you treat God incarnate, and of course, it is also the case in how you treat the God in heaven. If you cannot achieve these three points in how you treat God incarnate, then it goes without saying that you cannot achieve them in how you treat the God in heaven. You cannot see, hear, or grasp the work and words of the God in heaven; if you say you can submit to God, that is just empty talk. Look at early humankind: God told them to offer sacrifices, to offer a tenth of the annual crop harvest. People understood in their hearts that they must give what God asked for, but when it came time to offer it to God, they did not want to give it to Him. They even wanted to take it back after offering it, thinking, “You didn’t plant the crops, and You didn’t do any labor, so why should we give this to You?” When they offered it, they were unwilling, they felt uncomfortable inside, and they got angry. Was this showing respect? They could not achieve it, right? Therefore, it is not that simple to respect God and obey His words; if people’s corrupt dispositions are not resolved, they cannot achieve this. No matter what, to let go of your notions and imaginings about God incarnate, you must first have knowledge and understanding of the essence of God incarnate and the various truths involving God incarnate, and resolve your own notions and imaginings. Only then can you truly take in these aspects of the truth regarding God incarnate, and truly know God’s identity and essence; and only after that can you achieve submission to and fear of God.
Previously, we fellowshipped on letting go of one’s notions and imaginings about God incarnate. The first principle is to not compare God incarnate with the God in heaven, and the second principle is to not put God incarnate on a par with corrupt humankind. When fellowshipping on the second principle, it was mentioned that God incarnate does not deceive, contend, fight, scheme, attack, or retaliate. We’ve fellowshipped on all of these before. Now, we will fellowship on the next topic—not enticing. The ways God incarnate conducts Himself, the ways He interacts with people, or some of the ways He works, as revealed by His disposition essence, include this point: not enticing. How should this be understood? Is people’s literal understanding of “not enticing” consistent with the fact that God incarnate does not entice people, as manifested in the way He speaks and acts? If their understanding contradicts God incarnate’s manifestations, then isn’t what people understand just human notions? It is highly likely that it’s just human notions and imaginings. Then let us fellowship on this topic, the “not enticing” that is revealed by the humanity and essence of God incarnate. What is your basic understanding of this topic? Do you know what God’s consistent way of speaking is? Have you worked out what ways God uses to speak to people, and what ways He uses to express His words? (God speaks in a fairly straightforward way. God’s ways of speaking include helping, guiding, and leading, along with patient guidance; He doesn’t do any enticing.) That He does not entice is certain, but people still do not quite understand in detail what exactly this “not enticing” refers to. Judging from the forms of linguistic expression and the style of language God typically uses when speaking, God speaks in a very plain and straightforward manner, striving to let people understand and comprehend what He is saying. He does not play word games, nor does He speak of things that are false, grandiose, and empty, much less are His words formalistic. Rather, He speaks to the matter at hand, doing everything possible to speak to people using human language and ways of speaking suited to humankind. His words are of the nature of providing counsel, comfort, and exhortation, and sometimes warning; of course, more often they are of the nature of offering provision, help, support, and exposure—they expose people’s corrupt nature and the essence of problems, right? Exposing, providing, guiding, supporting, and helping are the methods He uses most often. Among these ways, some involve giving specific examples, and some involve vivid metaphors that invoke a living thing, an animal, a phenomenon, or things that happen around people in their lives. In one respect, this makes the truths—or the realities—within God’s words that people ought to understand clearer to them. For another thing, the examples God gives are incidents that have happened to certain special individuals—using these incidents as lessons or examples helps you see what these people’s problems were, what the essence of the problems was, what corruption they revealed, and what truths were involved. In this way, God communicates some aspect of the truth to people, so that on the basis of understanding this aspect of the truth, they know how to practice in accordance with God’s intentions and in accordance with the principles. God’s aim in using the most straightforward and plain forms of language is to provide people with the truth. He provides people with the truth so that, when they encounter various people, events, and things, they can know, from the negative side, people’s fallacious thoughts and views, people’s corrupt dispositions, and people’s manifestations and essence that resist God. At the same time, He does this to guide people in a positive sense to understand the truth principles, so that they have a path of practice and enter into the truth reality. God’s ultimate aim in providing for people so that they understand the truth, have knowledge of the truth, and know the truth principles is to enable people to come before God and achieve submission to Him, submission to His sovereignty, submission to His arrangements, submission to His orchestrations, and submission to the chastisement, judgment, refinement, and trials that come from Him, becoming people who fear and worship God, becoming true created beings—created beings who are up to standard. These are the specific principles behind God’s words and actions, including everything He does. The specific words God speaks and the specific actions He takes are without enticement; they are all public, revealed, open and aboveboard, and in the light. They don’t entail any shady schemes and plots, much less any designs or unspeakable intentions and purposes concerning humankind. Whether it’s in the purpose and significance behind God’s words, or in the work God does, He never has any improper aims regarding people. On the contrary, His aims are all positive; everything He does is to benefit people, help people understand the truth and gain the truth, and help people embark on the right path in life. Therefore, judging from the purpose and significance of God’s work, and from God’s speaking and working, there is no enticement in God’s essence or the starting point of God’s work.
The word “entice” appears very early in the Bible; do you all know this? (Yes.) Before man accepted Satan’s enticement for the first time, God said something. What did God say? (“Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die” (Genesis 2:16–17).) How many items does this statement by God include? The fruit of every tree in the garden may be eaten—this tells people the scope of what can be eaten. This is the most positive provision for people—it’s telling people what they can eat. Aren’t these words very simple and straightforward? (Yes, people can understand them.) Right. There is no need to analyze or research them; people understand them as soon as they hear them. The next sentence is, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it.” This sentence mentions an exception. What exception? It tells people that there is a tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden, and they should not eat the fruit growing on it. Aren’t these words simple and straightforward? (Yes.) How simple and straightforward are they? (So much so that people can understand them right after they hear them.) There is no need to analyze or research them; anyone with ears and a brain knows what this sentence means after hearing it. God told people what they could and could not eat. What could not be eaten? The fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But after hearing this, did people have doubts about God’s words in their hearts? (Yes.) Next, people would ask, “Why can’t we eat the fruit of that tree?” Without waiting for people to ask, God said, “For in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die.” Are these words simple? (Yes.) They very much are—if you eat it, you will surely die. Death is a big deal, so God made sure to give this instruction. Is there anything wrong with this instruction? (No.) Not a single word of God’s instruction is wrong, nor is there a single word of enticement in it. It clearly and explicitly conveys what can be eaten and what cannot be eaten, and God also told people what the consequence would be if they ate what they should not eat. After hearing these three simple sentences, you understand many things. Under normal circumstances, after created beings hear the words spoken by the Creator, gain clarity about them, understand them, and keep them in their hearts, they know what they should do. They should be obedient and do as they are told, only eating the things God told them they can eat, and not eating what God told them they cannot eat. They should not test God, nor should they disobey God’s command. We will not go into the consequences of not listening to God’s words. As for these words spoken by God, judging from the form of God’s speech and linguistic style, God speaks in a way that is particularly easy for people to understand. His words are not profound, and He does not keep people guessing, much less does He have any hidden intentions. Although these few sentences God spoke are simple, they are enough to let people see that God’s speech is clear, simple, and easy to understand. So what is God’s heart like? God’s heart is full of love, honesty, and faithfulness. Where is this love reflected? It is reflected in these few instructions from God. God’s instructions are particularly specific and thorough. Judging from these few instructions, God has a sense of responsibility and concern for people. He uses the simplest language to help people understand, and after they understand, God leaves with peace of mind. You see, does God have any designs upon people? (None whatsoever.) Within God’s love and concern, He hopes people will achieve one thing: to be obedient, not rebel against God, not be suspicious of God, and not doubt God. This is the purpose and the expectation behind these three instructions from God. Be obedient. Do not doubt God. Every word God speaks is true; God is faithful. God fulfills this responsibility with love and concern, and gives humankind these three instructions with love and concern. From this, in one respect, we see God’s essence, and in another respect, we also see the way God speaks to humankind and the starting point of His speech. God’s aim in speaking like this is to make it so that when people hear His words, they can understand them and keep them in their hearts. No matter how people regard this, God’s starting point remains just that. He represents God Himself; He doesn’t have any devious or dark intentions or purposes. Moreover, judging from these few instructions from God, God speaks straight to the point. His aim in speaking is to let you understand God’s intentions and know what to do. God never speaks in riddles with people; He’s always blunt and plainspoken. He converses with people using the everyday language that is easiest for people to understand, so that people can understand and remember what He says, and so that He doesn’t speak in vain. Does God speak from a place of status? Does He lecture people? (No.) When God converses with humankind and instructs people, even if He is instructing them from the perspective of God, or from a perspective similar to that of a human parent or elder, He still converses with people using the most straightforward, simplest language. Actually, in the eyes of corrupt humans, judging from the grammatical form God uses, and from the perspective of human knowledge and language, these words are just plain talk; they’re things you might say to a child. Some people say, “These words are not profound, they’re not lofty or grand, and they don’t sound imposing either. They also don’t use any sophisticated vocabulary or flowery rhetoric.” That’s right—this is the way God speaks to people. God is almighty, all is abundant with Him, and God transcends all things, but God converses with humans using the simplest and most straightforward language. Because humans are like children in God’s eyes, God instructs them using words that children can apprehend and understand—what they can eat, what they cannot eat, and what will happen after they eat it. He uses such simple words to instruct humans, so that they can understand. What is this called in the eyes of corrupt humans? This is called lowering His status. But how does God see it? This is a natural revelation of His. God does not need to disguise Himself, nor does He need to prepare in advance or deliberate when doing this; this is a natural revelation of His. You see, because these words are not profound or mysterious and unfathomable, people often do not take them seriously. They cannot treat God’s words in a serious-minded manner, and cannot be obedient and submissive. This is the corruption of corrupt humankind, and it is also the ignorance of the earliest humankind. Once humans heard statements that differed from what God said, they became guarded against God, began to doubt and deny God’s words, and became suspicious of the purposes behind God’s speech. In this way, humans distanced themselves from God. After humans accepted Satan’s enticement and started to have suspicions and doubts about God, they could no longer listen to God’s words or submit to God’s words, and they drifted further and further from God. What were the consequences of people leaving the light of God’s countenance, not listening to God’s words, and not believing God’s words? They became corrupted by Satan, and remain corrupted to this day.
What I just talked about is a story from when the word “entice” first appears in the Bible. From this story, people should have a basic understanding of God’s way of speaking, God’s disposition, and God’s attitude toward humankind. This aspect of God—that His essence is free of enticement—is also possessed by God incarnate; this should be very easy to recognize. There isn’t much recorded in the Bible about what God said or did, so it’s difficult for people to have precise knowledge of this. In this stage of work in the last days, God incarnate has spoken many words and done many things. Over these many years of My speaking and fellowshipping with you, and even interacting with you in daily life, My words and deeds basically reflect the same attitude God had toward humans in the Bible story just mentioned. I strive to speak in a way that you can understand and comprehend, so sometimes I speak very specifically and in great detail, even going over things again and again, which inevitably makes it a bit long-winded. There is only one reason for this: No matter in what way the Creator—God—appears and works, He always has a lingering, hard-to-change, habitual attitude and habitual viewpoint when it comes to humankind. “Habitual” and “lingering” might not be very apt, but human language is too limited, so I can only put it this way for now. So what does this viewpoint refer to? It refers to how, from God’s perspective, humankind will always be that same ignorant, naive humankind from the very beginning created by God’s hands—humankind that outwardly appears adult but whose inner essence is like that of a three-year-old child. Therefore, God’s attitude toward humankind is always different from the perspective and attitude with which people view humankind. Precisely because of this difference, many times when God speaks to humankind or instructs them, God’s way of speaking or His starting point in doing so is more about wanting to make use of human language so that people can better know what He is saying. God’s aim in how He treats people and in speaking to them is to let them know more clearly what His intentions are, what His required standards are, what the principles are for everything He requires people to do, and what viewpoints people should hold toward all people, events, and things. When God speaks these words to humankind from the perspective of the Creator, He is not delivering a speech, nor is He issuing a rallying cry, and of course, He is not calling upon them either; rather, He is offering them provision. What is offering provision? Tell Me what you think it is. (It is making up for what people need and what people lack; this is called offering provision.) Offering provision includes support and help, and sometimes exhortation, prompting, encouragement, and so on. So what is offering provision? It means that no matter how old humans are, no matter how many survival skills they have mastered or how high their level of knowledge is, when it comes to the truth, humans are always blank. The knowledge people understand is incompatible with the truth. There are so many truths that people ought to understand, and the provision people need most is the provision of the truth and life. Therefore, only fellowshipping the truth is the best provision for people. That is to say, your viewpoints, understandings, and attitudes in the face of all people, events, and things have nothing to do with the truth. No matter how much knowledge you possess, no matter how sophisticated your tactics for worldly dealings are, and no matter how much life experience you have, when it comes to the truth, you are blank; you do not have the truth. Even if some people have believed in God for many years and understand some doctrines, they do not truly understand the truth. What does it mean to not understand the truth? In one respect, in terms of objective facts, it means you do not understand the truth principles, you do not know how to practice, and you are at a loss when you encounter special situations. In another respect, there is also a subjective reason behind it, which is that people have corrupt dispositions. Corrupt dispositions hinder and bind you so that you cannot practice the truth. You cannot even put the little bit of truth you understand into practice; for you, practicing the truth is difficult, and there are hindrances to doing so. Therefore, in God’s eyes, humankind will forever be an infant. Some people say, “Will man forever be an infant in God’s eyes? Does this depend on what stage someone is at?” It does not. Why do I say it doesn’t depend on what stage someone is at? Based on man’s essence, humankind is always humankind, and man will forever be an infant before God. Some people say, “Then were Abraham and Job infants?” Yes. Why were Abraham and Job still infants even though they bore witness? That is in comparison with God’s essence and God’s almightiness. No matter how much of the truth provided by God people understand, and no matter how much they can submit to God, people’s knowledge of God’s disposition essence and their understanding of the truth are limited. What does this “limited” refer to? It means these things are restricted to the scope of their lives and survival. Even if you understand the various aspects of the truth and are perfected by God, in the end, it is still God who provides for you. God will forever be the source of your life and living, and you will forever be the recipient of the provision and watering of God’s words and God’s life. From this point of view, humankind will forever be an infant in God’s eyes. Specifically, whether you are an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, a suckling infant, or in some other stage, that is classified according to the truths you understand. But no matter the stage, because humans, these created living things, are created beings, they will forever be infants in the eyes of the Creator. So, viewed in terms of the identity and essence of an infant, the primary aim and nature of God speaking to humankind is provision. Of course, there is a wide scope to the provision God offers: Some of it is disclosure, some of it is reprimand, and some of it is discipline, while sometimes it is exposure, sometimes it is pruning, sometimes it is telling people things directly, sometimes it is telling them things explicitly, and sometimes it’s just giving an example to tell people a principle, for them to ponder and experience themselves. No matter in what way He speaks, as far as the nature of the Creator speaking to the human beings He created is concerned, it is always a form of provision. So when it comes to God offering provision to people, do you see that it is free of enticement? (Yes.) For people, what humankind gains from God is always the truth, the way, and the life; what they gain is benefit, and what they reap is life. Even if you are perfected in the end, you still have to accept God’s sovereignty and submit to God’s orchestrations and arrangements. You still have to accept God’s provision, you still have to accept God’s leading, and you are still a created being; your identity will never change. It’s just that the life and stature you have within that identity at that time will differ from the life and stature you have within your present identity. At that time, your identity will be all the more legitimate; you will have the life that belongs to the new humankind. The essence of this life comes from God’s words. This new humankind can submit to God and worship God; they no longer worship Satan, they have rejected Satan, they are no longer enticed by Satan, and they do not bear the mark of the beast.
In all these words spoken by God incarnate, from the first day you read them until now—or when you read them in the future—in every word you read and in every word you hear and accept, each time God speaks, there is not a single word that contains an element of enticement. Even when I ask you questions, I do so straightforwardly, asking for your viewpoints and asking how you understand and view something. Or I might raise a question for you to ponder, and if I see that you cannot figure it out or have not gained clarity after having discussed it, then I will just talk about it directly. Once I’ve finished speaking and you understand and can comprehend the issue, I won’t talk about it anymore. Sometimes when I speak, I give examples. Some people hear them and feel, “Is He teaching toddlers?” I say, most people who believe in God are adults over twenty or thirty years old; they are indeed not toddlers. However, what believers in God eat and drink are God’s words, so no matter how old someone is, before God’s words and before God, they are a toddler, and will forever be one. You see, the people in God’s house come from all walks of life: laborers, farmers, technicians, government officials, as well as college students, and even graduate students, PhD students, professors, and so on. But among all these people, how many can grasp the truth? When I preach sermons like this, how many people can fully understand them? If I do not speak in detail and specifically, can people understand what I say? They only understand a bit of the literal meaning, and when it’s time for them to practice and experience, they don’t have a path. So I must speak in detail and specifically, and I also have to give examples; leaving out any of these ways of speaking will not do. If someone thinks this is teaching toddlers, then they are right. When I speak these words, I really am speaking to toddlers. Then tell Me, aren’t you all toddlers before God? How many among you can grasp God’s words and understand God’s words? If you really do treat yourselves as toddlers, then you truly possess reason. You should treat yourselves as toddlers when listening to God’s words; this mindset is correct. You see, when I speak these words meant for toddlers, do you find them engaging and say Amen to them? Does My speaking this way resolve your difficulties? Does it resolve your problems? If your problems are truly resolved, then these words are what people need, and My speaking this way is indeed perfectly fitting. Corrupt humans really do need Me to speak this way—giving examples, using metaphors, and speaking tirelessly and repeatedly from various perspectives and using various methods. Moreover, I use words that are similar to what you might use with a child; these are the simplest and most straightforward words. Only by speaking like this can people understand. But no matter how I speak, among all these words, not a single one is a lie or meant to mislead you. They all tell you to believe everything God says; you absolutely mustn’t doubt God’s words. Whoever doubts God’s words falls for Satan’s trick and finds themselves caught in its snare. For example, God said, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die” (Genesis 2:17). And how did Satan mislead people? Satan said, “You shall not necessarily die…” (Genesis 3:4). This misled people. Are there any words similar to Satan’s in what I have said, or that have resulted in people being misled as they were by Satan? Have I ever said a single thing that is of this nature? (No.) In one respect, the words I have spoken help you know Satan’s corrupt dispositions and the various fallacious thoughts and views it instills in people, allowing you to come to know and dissect them and then cast them off. In another respect, they tell you how to follow God’s way, what God’s way is like, what God’s required principles for people are, and what principles people should abide by in various matters. Everything I’ve said has been to help you stay away from Satan and evil trends, reject Satan, set yourselves apart from evil trends, come before God, seek God’s intentions and the truth principles in various people, events, and things, enter into the reality of God’s words, and submit to God’s words. Everything I’ve said has been to help you cast off your corrupt dispositions and then become people who fear God and worship God. I’ve never said anything telling you to follow worldly trends or subscribe to the various thoughts and views of the world. I haven’t said a single thing to get you to turn away from the true way or to turn away from God, nor have I ever told you to pass judgment on God or be dissatisfied with God. Of course, even less so have My words ever incorrectly represented God from the perspective of God incarnate, or put out wrong information to get you to misunderstand God or be guarded against Him. Rather, I do My utmost to resolve your wrong thoughts and views about God and your various notions and imaginings about God, bringing you before Him—even pushing you toward Him—helping you stay away from evil trends and let go of various fallacious thoughts and views. You see, all these words dissecting various fallacious thoughts and views—including My fellowship on marriage, family, work, politics, aspirations, future prospects, money, status, fame and gain, relationships between men and women, as well as the paths taken by various people in this world, how people should discern various emotions, how to treat feelings, and so on—all provide you with correct and positive thoughts and views, and with the truth. These words are all the truth. Only by accepting the truth can man use various perspectives to discern various fallacious thoughts and views, discern the darkness and evil of this world, become able to see this world clearly, and reject Satan; only by accepting the truth can he possess the correct thoughts and views that accord with the truth as God requires of him, walk the bright and right path, and come before God to submit to and worship Him. Additionally, if there is an intention behind My speaking these words, there is only one, which is to do everything possible to help you understand the truth, become able to let go of your own fleshly prospects and interests, and various other things of the flesh, and then pursue the truth. It is also to use all sorts of different methods to tell people about the various topics involving the truth, so that you become interested in the truth. In particular, I use some relatively humorous and witty methods to get you interested and help you become willing to listen, so that you can take it in, and then understand the truth spoken within. I may use a humorous or interesting story to attract you and help you become willing to listen. In this way, after you listen to it, in addition to remembering the story, you will also be able to recall it when you encounter a similar matter in real life, and will be able to seek the truths that involve this issue. As you seek, you will gain the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, and know what the truth principles within it are, what God’s intentions are, and what truths people ought to practice. That is, I strive for you to no longer be disoriented, to no longer have your hands tied, and to no longer be perplexed or in pain when you encounter various matters, but to have a viable path, and, more importantly, for you to no longer be controlled by Satan’s thoughts and corrupt dispositions as before, to no longer take Satan’s corrupt dispositions as your life, and to no longer use the thoughts and views instilled in you by Satan to handle various matters, instead replacing them with God’s words and the truth principles. You see, no matter what method I use in everything I say, whether it’s one that can get you interested or one which is able to attract you, I strive to help you understand the truth—that is My ultimate aim. Even if I sometimes tell a joke or share an anecdote, it’s to help quiet your heart and to help you be able to sit still; in this way you will want to listen to the truth, and will have the opportunity to accept the truth. When it comes to aims, this is the only one. In particular, with some young people who have believed in God for only a short while and whose experience is shallow—this group of people who are still full of expectations and curiosity about this world—in order to help these new believers lay a foundation in the true way, I have spoken many words and done a lot of work. With followers of all age groups, followers in all kinds of circumstances, and followers of all races, the only purpose and intention behind My speech is to help them gain the truth while following God, understand the truth principles and God’s intentions, become able to follow God and walk the right path, no longer follow worldly trends, no longer be controlled by Satan’s corrupt dispositions, and no longer continue to accept Satan’s corruption, but instead worship the true God, worship the Creator, and return to their original position as created beings to worship the Creator—this is the only aim I have. Regarding this sole aim, even if I sometimes use special methods and cover special topics when speaking, and even if I say some words that are somewhat profound and not very easy to understand, no matter the situation, My aim is never to entice. I only have one purpose, which is to offer you provision and guidance, and this provision and guidance is a kind of patient instruction. To use an imperfect analogy, offering you provision and guidance is like taking care of flowers in a greenhouse. I wouldn’t dare be the slightest bit negligent. It cannot be too hot or too cold. When the weather is good, I have to let the flowers get some sun, and I have to keep an eye on the temperature at all times. If it’s too hot, the flowers will dry up and die; if the temperature suddenly drops and it’s too cold, the little flowers will freeze to death. This is just how fragile your own statures are. What does fragile mean? It means you are too immature and have no stature. What is the actual manifestation of having no stature? It’s that most people have practically no life entry when they encounter things in real life. How could someone have stature without any life entry? Stature is accumulated and gathered over time on the basis of gradually building up life entry. Therefore, when I speak to you, I must tirelessly offer you provision and guidance on various topics from different angles, from different standpoints, using different methods and examples—this is called giving patient instruction. This instruction is not enticement—it is offering guidance and provision; it is a kind of leading. This kind of leading has no negative effects, nor is it driven by any improper intentions. Examine the words I speak: Whether it’s in terms of intention, or in terms of the way I speak, the topics I cover, or the form of My speech—and whether you are listening to audio recordings of sermons or reading text—do I use any of the methods that Satan uses to entice people? (No.) Look closely at everything I’ve said. In each passage, no matter the length, what is fellowshipped is an aspect of the truth; it’s all related to the truth. Since it’s all related to the truth, then it is all provision for you, it is what you need, it is related to the life you are about to gain, and it is related to your future and destination. Therefore, on My part, I am certainly not the slightest bit careless. If you yourselves never take God’s words seriously, then it can only be said that you are foolish. Why do I say you are foolish? Because your stature is so immature that the truth is beyond you, and your understanding has deviations and is very much that of a child. So, it’s not at all excessive for you to be treated like three-year-old children. It is not disrespecting you or looking down on you; rather, it’s that your actual stature is too small, and you have no discernment at all. Are these words accurate? (Yes.)
Do you understand a bit more about the topic we just fellowshipped on—how God incarnate does not entice people? (Yes.) The things that I fellowshipped about are basically discussed in light of how God incarnate speaks and works—that is, discussed in light of the facts concerning how God speaks and works, and in light of God’s painstaking intentions. This allows people to see that within God’s speech, God’s work, and God’s essence, there is no element of enticing people that is found within corrupt humans or within Satan and devils, nor any such intention. Then how much do you know about God incarnate, this person with an ordinary appearance? And what facts are there that can prove that the humanity and the divine essence of God incarnate are one, that they do not contradict or clash with each other, that they are in agreement, and that God incarnate likewise shows no manifestations of enticing people like those found in Satan or corrupt humankind? How much do you know about this aspect? Or, what manifestations and revelations of God incarnate have allowed you to recognize this? This might be something most people don’t yet understand, right? That being the case, I have to present it to you in detail; I find it bothersome to always be presenting things like this. Actually, in interacting and associating with you, whether online or in real life, if you pay attention and carefully appreciate the manifestations and revelations of God incarnate in this regard, you can discover them. But you are unobservant, and moreover you feel that this is not an important issue. None of you take heed of this matter, so you cannot discover them. Regardless of whether you have taken heed or not, since this aspect involves the truth regarding knowing God, we must fellowship on it. When fellowshipping on the aspect of not enticing, looking at it from the way God incarnate interacts with people, the first thing you should understand is that I do not try to coax information out of you when I’m speaking or handling matters with you. Chatting is just chatting; I get straight to the point, I am direct, and I say whatever I’m thinking inside. Even if sometimes, out of consideration for your weakness or to spare your ego because of your immature stature, I adopt some wise methods to speak to you, I still do not try to coax information out of you, nor do I entice you to say something. If you are willing to speak, then speak; if you are not willing to speak about something, I will not try to ask you about it. I will not try to coax information out of you. If I would like to understand what’s going on with certain people, I’ll ask about them directly: “How is your church leader? How many years has the sister cooperating with you believed in God? Does she have a foundation in her belief in God? Do you think she is someone who pursues the truth? Have you run into any problems cooperating together?” Listen to these questions—are they of the nature of coaxing information out of people? (No.) If you don’t want to say something, I won’t force you to. I won’t resort to any tactics or schemes to entice you, nor will I do everything possible to draw out the contents of your heart. I have no such inclination, I am not interested in acting like this, and I would never do that. If you are willing to speak, without leaving anything out—regardless of whether what you say is relatively objective or contains personal bias, you can say it however you want—after I listen to you, I will make a specific analysis. But from My perspective, I speak to you very straightforwardly. The literal meaning of whatever I say is exactly what I’m trying to convey. If I want to know about something, I ask about it directly. If you always beat around the bush and do not speak directly, trying to play word games or mind games with Me, I simply won’t engage with you. I do not like playing word games, and I don’t resort to tricks either; I will never try everything possible to fish for information. Suppose I want to know about someone’s situation, such as how many years they have believed in God, whether they truly believe in God, what their comprehension of the truth is like, whether they do their duty full-time, or whether it would be worth it to try to cultivate them—if I need to know these things for the sake of the work, I will just ask directly. But as for the specifics of their private affairs or what they do behind the scenes in their private life, I do not ask about such things. What I want to learn about is your pursuit, your attitude toward the truth and your duty, and, should you be chosen as a leader, what your resolve, burden, and humanity are like, as well as how great your faith is—these are the things I want to learn about. As for your private matters, such as how much money you earn a month, what sordid things you’ve done, which members of the opposite sex you’ve dallied with, or whom you have deceived or cheated, I really do not want to know these things, and I never ask about them. Some people tell Me that they once committed transgressions involving the opposite sex. I say, “Don’t tell Me about such things. Go pray to God in private. If God forgives you, your heart will be moved. If God does not forgive you, then continue to pray. Do not tell Me; I do not want to hear these things.” When I meet with you, I mainly talk about matters of belief in God, church work, life entry, or the issues regarding your personal state that you ask about. It is mostly these things, and occasionally I also talk a bit about issues around the world. No matter what topic we discuss, I merely express My personal views and opinions on the topic at hand; you are free to think and say whatever you want. You can say whatever you want to say, and you can say as much as you want to say. If you feel that there is no need to be guarded against Me, you can say whatever you feel like saying. If you are guarded against and suspicious of Me in your heart, afraid that I will find out about your past or reveal your secrets, and you do not want to say too much, then I will not force you; I give you freedom. This is My principle for interacting with people. I will never try everything possible to find someone to secretly learn things about you just because you keep things to yourself, nor will I use various methods to your face to coax information out of you, getting you to say them yourself. I do not do such things. I never ask anyone to proactively divulge things to Me. You have no need to divulge anything to Me; I have no such requirement of you. Even if you do divulge things to Me, sparing no details, there is still one thing you cannot avoid: You must pursue the truth. It’s not that by coming clean to Me, you become an honest person, no longer need to pursue the truth, and can be spared from chastisement and judgment. Rather, no matter what you do, I will treat you however you ought to be treated, in My own way. But if we have a conversation or any sort of exchange, and you want to conceal things from Me, play mind games with Me, play word games, or play cat-and-mouse with Me, I will absolutely not use any methods or means to coax information out of you, to lure you into saying something, or to make you divulge anything. Do you understand? (Yes.)
Regarding this aspect of God not coaxing information out of people, there is something you must be clear on. God’s understanding of humankind is not based on certain specific revelations, their living out, or their ways of living in real life, nor is it based on people having done certain things. So, what are God’s understanding of humankind, and the attitude He takes toward them after having understood them, based on? They’re based on God’s understanding of Satan’s nature essence. Therefore, God’s understanding of humankind is that He understands they have corrupt dispositions, He understands their corrupt essence, and He understands how they are corrupted and fooled by Satan, as well as what fallacious thoughts and views Satan instills in them, and this understanding is enough. This is enough to judge and chastise you, and sufficient grounds for supplying you with the truth and life to save you. Therefore, do not think that when you interact or converse with Me, you must divulge things to Me. Some people say, “Didn’t You say that in interacting with You, we must first be open and honest?” Being open and honest is an attitude; it’s not equivalent to divulging things. It does not mean that, because you are a corrupt human being and a sinner, you must divulge everything to Me and explain everything clearly to Me. This is unnecessary; I have no such need, and My attitude toward you is not like this. If you think that being open and honest with Me means you must divulge everything to Me, this is wrong; it is a misunderstanding on your part. Do you understand? (Yes.) Therefore, even if there are many things and many words that are hard to say to My face or that you are unwilling to say, this does not mean you are not being open and honest; it just depends on what your mindset is. If there are things you are not comfortable saying, or you’re not willing to say them when there are lots of people around, then you don’t have to. You absolutely must not assume that I really want to know your background or really want to know your secrets. You absolutely must not misunderstand—I do not want to know these things at all. I do not want to know how you were in the past, nor do I want to know how you will be in the future; all that concerns Me is how you are now. Whether you are now someone who pursues the truth, how much of the truth you now understand, whether you have life entry every day, whether you have entered into the truths that need to be entered into in real life—such as being an honest person, doing your duty devotedly, submitting to God, and seeking the truth principles in all things—these are the only things that concern Me. Therefore, you absolutely must not have any misgivings about Me in your hearts, nor do you need to worry, saying, “To be an honest person, do I have to explain everything clearly to You and let You know everything? If I don’t say something, will You try everything possible to coax information out of me and entice me to speak?” My response to that is no. When we chat, converse, handle matters, and interact, it is enough for us to approach each other with an open and honest attitude and mindset, not trying to coax anything out of anyone. Coaxing information out of people is a common trick used in interactions between corrupt humans, and is a way of handling things they habitually resort to. Some people have a great interest in others’ private affairs or the things others do behind the scenes, especially when it comes to how others view and evaluate them, whether others think they’re lofty or insignificant, noble or lowly, and so on. Therefore, they often use the method of coaxing information out of others to find out about these things. To tell you the truth, I have no interest in these things at all. Do not think of Me as being like any ordinary person you interact with. I have never concerned Myself with whether I have status in your hearts—regardless of whether you view Me as noble or lowly, lofty or insignificant, I do not care about these things. Therefore, when you converse and interact with Me, do not entertain such misgivings. When corrupt humans interact with anyone, they are always wondering, “What status do I actually have in others’ hearts? Is their impression of me actually good or bad?” Some people are also always pondering, “What benefit can I get from interacting with them? What advantage can I gain? What position can I occupy in this group? Will other people think highly of me?” People are always thinking about these things and concerning themselves with them. I never ask these questions, and I do not try to find out about other people’s affairs. People always like to make inquiries about these things. This is a natural revelation of satanic corrupt dispositions, and it is also a common trait of corrupt humans. In one respect, people especially like to inquire into others’ private affairs and are particularly interested in them; in another respect, they especially want to know what their position and worth in others’ hearts is. In particular, some leaders and workers, or people who have some gifts and talents and a bit of prestige in the church, pay great attention to their status in others’ hearts and their rank within the group; most people care about this very much. Sometimes they ask others particular questions—their intention and purpose are not to resolve problems, but to find out whether others think highly of and worship them. This shows that they care very much about what position they hold in other people’s hearts. What is the use of knowing these things? So what if other people think highly of you? Can that replace your pursuit of the truth? If others look down on you, will you become negative and stop believing in God? What effect can others thinking highly of you have? Can it spur you on or encourage you? It has no effect at all. There are also some evil people who are always digging up information on others, inquiring about what others say about them behind their backs and what views they have of them, so as to find out who opposes them the most and is their enemy, and they even use various methods to coax the truth from others. Some people cannot withstand their enticement and ultimately divulge the truth, falling for their schemes as a result. The evil people then do everything possible to strike out at and retaliate against them, oppressing and excluding them in all sorts of scenarios, suppressing them so much that it becomes stifling for them, putting them in such agony that they wish they were dead, as if a great disaster has befallen them. Even when they pray to God, they cannot feel God’s guidance; they have no one to help them and are driven to the end of their rope by the evil people. Ultimately, they lose their faith. They think that even as a believer in God they can still encounter evil people and be persecuted and tormented by them; they feel that believing in God is too difficult, and they no longer want to believe. These evil people are not easy to get rid of. Offending an evil person is like being stung by a scorpion; you cannot shake them off or get away from them, and you have no faith to fight them yourself, so ultimately you are tormented by them. This corrupt humankind—whether devils that are of Satan or human beings with corrupt dispositions—has both this tendency and this essence. Because humans have corrupt dispositions, everyone has this problem to varying degrees; they all try to coax information out of other people for the sake of their own reputation, status, and interests, and can even catch people out to torment them. You see, in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, when the Communist Party wanted to torment the rightists, they told people, “National development needs people of talent. If you have any opinions about the Party or any brilliant ideas about national development, you should speak out. The speaker will not be blamed, but his words heeded as a warning. You must all offer your advice!” As a result, some people heard this and said, “Oh, the country is in ruins and waiting to be rebuilt; it needs people of talent like us. Since the country values people of talent so much, we must tell the truth.” Those intellectuals and high-ranking figures all told the truth, thinking nothing bad would happen. You see, Satan uses nice-sounding words to entice people to tell the truth. When people’s defenses are all down, they pour out everything in their hearts, and as a result, they fall right into Satan’s scheme. Satan says, “Good! Now I’ve caught you out, and I have evidence to punish you!” Right away, the Communist Party launched the Anti-Rightist Campaign and labeled all those who told the truth as rightists, and those intellectuals and high-ranking figures were tormented. Later, the Cultural Revolution began—all the renowned figures and capable people were thrown into “cowsheds” and made to wear placards labeling them “capitalist roaders” and “counterrevolutionaries.” As a result, many people were tormented miserably. You see, Satan does not understand man’s essence. It does not walk the right path itself, and it does not know what people think in their hearts. It just entices people to tell the truth and then catches them out and condemns them, cruelly torturing them to death. God created humankind. Humankind has undergone Satan’s corruption, becoming more and more deeply corrupted every step along the way. God has seen all of this under His watchful eyes; He understands it all too well, so He chooses the appropriate time to come and save people. God does not discuss things with people, nor does He consult them. When God’s time comes, He becomes flesh and comes among people to express the truth, expose people’s corrupt dispositions, and expose all of the different problems they have. By exposing people’s problems, He allows them to hear God’s voice, come before God, and know themselves. Then, God provides people with the truth so they can walk the right path. By means of this method and this approach, God saves humankind. Satan, however, always does everything possible to mislead and corrupt humankind. It does not care what people think, what they hope for, or what they lack; it just wants to entice people to sin, and entice them to leave God and betray God. It hinders people from reading God’s words and hinders them from coming before God. Satan always wants to tempt and entice people; it entices them to do evil, and entices them to drop all their defenses, so that when they are completely unguarded against it, they believe it is sincere and earnest, and then turn to it and rely on it. Next, having relinquished all their guardedness, they allow themselves to be fooled and corrupted by it, and are completely devoured by it, right? (Yes.) God knows humankind’s essence; He knows humankind’s corrupt dispositions; and He knows the root of humankind’s rebellion against and resistance to God. As such, without needing to understand what specific things you thought or did behind the scenes, or what private matters you have not divulged, He is already fully capable of exposing your nature essence, laying your corrupt dispositions and nature essence bare and bringing them fully to light, and on this basis, making you completely willing to accept God’s salvation. God’s aim in getting you to know your essence is to enable you to truly repent, submit to God, and turn to God—it is absolutely not to torment you and make you become negative and degenerate. You should understand God’s painstaking intentions. God has a sense of responsibility toward you and is concerned for you, so God does these things with great wisdom and in a very methodical way, fully considering you. Every step He takes is out of consideration for you; each step is meticulously arranged and planned. Although it does not accord with human notions, people can ultimately feel God’s painstaking intentions.
God is not the slightest bit careless regarding the matter of people’s salvation; rather, He has painstaking intentions and pours all His heart’s blood into this matter. On the basis of exposing people’s corrupt essence, through fellowshipping on various problems, He enables people to better understand their own problems and their own nature essence. Then, He provides for you in a positive sense, enabling you to understand what the truth is and what fallacy is, what is right and what is wrong, what positive things are and what negative things are, and then gradually embark on the right path. You see, all that God does for you is for the sake of saving you. Judging from all this work done by God incarnate, His starting point, whether viewed from the perspective of His humanity or from the perspective of His divinity, is consistent with that of the Creator. Therefore, when this incarnate Son of man interacts and associates with you, He likewise has this attitude, and His aim is to bring you onto the right track of believing in God and support you in embarking on the path of salvation. Thus, when I converse and interact with you, there is never an issue of Me trying to coax information out of you. If I ask you some questions, it’s just simply asking questions; I never use the method of coaxing information out of you to entice you to do things you are unwilling to do. That never happens. Do you understand now? (Yes.) In another respect, I never care about what views you have of Me in secret, nor would I ever think, “When you see that I’m relatively short, that My appearance is ordinary, and that I speak like this and have this tone of voice, will that cause you to develop notions? What kind of position do I hold in your hearts?” I never inquire into these things, and when I interact with you, I never use any methods to indirectly ask about how you view Me; I do not care about these things. Why do I not care? Because I do not value them. Being noble, grand, having status, having high value, being unique, great, and lofty—I do not care about these things. What does it matter whether one is lofty or not? What can that replace? Even if you have no notions about Me at all and can be completely obedient to Me, so what? Would that mean I could speak or work less than I do now? None of this can replace anything. Of course, this is secondary; the main thing is that I personally do not care about these things. I don’t know why I don’t care; I just don’t like concerning Myself with these things. When I do things for you, whether they are matters in your life, matters concerning your life entry, or matters concerning your destination and future, and whether it involves speaking some words or doing some specific things, I never wonder, “Is there anyone who is deeply grateful to Me behind the scenes? Is there anyone shedding tears of gratitude? Does anyone remember My kindness for doing these things?” I really do not concern Myself with such things, and I do not try to find out about them. In one respect, when I gather and fellowship with you, I never ask about these things; in another respect, when I fellowship with you about work, I don’t ask about them either. No matter which team I go to, I just ask, “How have you been recently? Are there any problems you cannot resolve? Can you grasp the principles when doing your duty?” I just talk about these things. I do not care how much influence the words I speak and the things I do have among you, how many people are grateful to Me, how many are not grateful, or how I should improve upon this work so that more people will be grateful; I do not do these things. I learn about how your duty is going, and point out your problems and deviations and have you correct them, so that you can do the work well. If some people are unappreciative or do not buy it, there is nothing I can do; that’s as far as I can go. In your daily lives, I have done My best to arrange things for you and help you. If a few individuals are dissatisfied, there is nothing I can do; that’s because their personal demands are too much. I just repeatedly emphasize what principles God’s house follows in doing this and what its purpose in doing so is, and that is enough. When I go to some places and see some people fellowshipping, talking about what God says and does, I leave immediately. I do not eavesdrop. I am not curious, and I do not wonder, “What are you saying about Me? Are you speaking ill of Me? Are you saying things about Me that are based on notions? If so, I will do everything possible to torment you and take you down a peg.” I do not do these things; you can say whatever you like. The lesson of knowing God takes a long time to learn; it does not happen overnight. Whether your fellowship on knowing God is adulterated with notions or is your genuine understanding, it does not involve right or wrong; it only involves whether it is in line with the truth. Therefore, if your fellowship on a topic contains distortions, I can correct them for you. If there are notions and imaginings, we can fellowship about them. If what you fellowship is all correct and aligns with the truth, but is just a bit shallow, then just come to acquire knowledge gradually.
Do you now understand this aspect, that God does not coax information out of people? (Yes.) Not coaxing information out of people means that when I speak and chat with you, I do so from the position of an ordinary person. I am not domineering or condescending, and I do not suppress you. My principle for how I interact with you is to converse with you honestly and from the heart, without enticement and without coaxing anything out of you. That is, I do not set traps for you, and I do not say specious things. It’s just that if some things are not the main topic, I might just make a general, summarizing statement and move on, not speaking too specifically, but it won’t be specious either. That is, the words I speak do not entice you to think in an incorrect direction, to sin, to degenerate, to develop notions about God, or to have misunderstandings about and be guarded toward God, much less do they make you develop an attitude of doubt toward some aspect of the truth. In what I say, there are no words like what Satan said: “You shall not necessarily die”—this “not necessarily” is enticing in nature. When I speak to you, I don’t use any enticing words like “not necessarily.” You can look and check whether there are any such words in all the content I have fellowshipped. There are certain words that you probably cannot be certain of or understand thoroughly, namely words like “perhaps” and “maybe.” You might not realize My principles or reasons for using such words. I have a reason for using such words. It’s because the various aspects of the truth we fellowship are not directed at one type of person, nor are they directed at a certain individual, but are directed at all people who follow God and accept God’s words. Once “all” is mentioned, this includes the states of all kinds of different people. That is, the same problem covers the states of many types of people under different conditions and in different environments, so it can only be expressed using “perhaps” and “maybe.” What do “perhaps” and “maybe” mean? They mean, perhaps you are in this state, perhaps you are in that state, perhaps you are in such an environment, or perhaps you are in that kind of environment. But this “perhaps” is not meant to convey uncertainty; rather, it means that what is being said applies only to some people. These words “perhaps” and “maybe” do not have the enticing sense of Satan’s “not necessarily die”; I use these words to provide tailored fellowship, helping you identify which state you have and which environment you’re in. Precisely because I am faced with so many groups of people, and the various states people have are so complex, I can only express things using “perhaps” and “maybe,” and then let you see where you fit in. Do you understand this issue? (Yes.) Now that you understand this issue, let’s move on to the next topic.
There is another topic within the subject of God incarnate not enticing people, which is that He does not instigate people—He will never instigate you to do something. What lies behind the instigation referred to here are unjust, wrong, or fallacious things, or evil deeds that make you degenerate, resist God, or turn away from the right path. When God incarnate speaks with you, interacts and associates with you, and leads you, the words He speaks and the work He does are all aimed at bringing you before God and onto the right path. Every word He speaks is so that you can better understand the truth of the facts, be able to know people, events, and things from the correct viewpoint and stance, and be able to more accurately understand God’s intentions and God’s required standards. Not a single word God speaks is meant to instigate you to resist God, or to go and do battle against Satan, making meaningless sacrifices. When it comes to how people should treat God, God’s intention is for people to be able to submit to Him and treat Him from the perspective of a created being. No matter what things one encounters, before all else, the attitude they should possess is to accept them from God and submit to God from the perspective of a created being. This is in terms of the big picture; of course, this is also the purpose behind all the words I speak and the principle I require of you. As for how you treat Satan, the world, the hostile forces that persecute you, and anyone else who persecutes you, the principle I require of you is to use wisdom in how you treat them. Just as the Lord Jesus said, “Be you therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16). You must submit to God like doves, and have the wisdom of serpents in how you treat this world, those who are hostile to you, evil people, powerful hostile forces, and powerful regimes that are hostile to God. In more practical terms, when it comes to encountering evil people and antichrists in the church, or when it comes to facing external hostile forces, we have fellowshipped some more specific pieces of wisdom and ways of treating them. These ways of treating them and specific principles of practice, in one respect, help you know more accurately how to act and what principles to uphold to accord with God’s intentions, which is important. In another respect, they are meant to protect you—to ensure your personal safety, and to protect you from falling into temptation, being enticed by Satan, being caught out by Satan, and being carried off by Satan, as well as from falling into difficult situations, falling into negativity and weakness, and lacking the faith to follow God as a result of being harassed and controlled by hostile forces—in short, to protect you in every way possible. My aim in teaching you to be wise and in teaching you the way you should walk is to enable you to solidly hold fast to your proper place, successfully complete the duty God has entrusted to you in a way that is up to standard, and walk this path well. If you fall into temptation, into various predicaments, or into Satan’s snare or encirclement, or face difficult situations or life-threatening danger, then it will not be easy for you to complete the duty God has entrusted to you and pursue the truth to attain salvation. Whether you can attain salvation will be an unknown, a big question mark—it will become a problem for you. So, I tell you to be harmless as doves and wise as serpents. Being wise as serpents is very important; it enables you to treat various evil people, antichrists, various fallacies and heresies, and various forces that persecute and suppress you with wisdom and principles, so that you can safely and successfully get to the end of the path and have hope of attaining salvation. Thus, in general, when God’s house encounters matters that involve dealing with the outside world, it will find some brothers and sisters with wisdom and real-world experience to handle them. As for those who are young and of small stature, or those who are foolish and have no real-world experience, or even some muddled people, we do not encourage them to go deal with such things, and God’s house would not arrange for them to do so either. Some people outwardly seem quite bold and capable, but actually have no wisdom. What is it called when someone has no wisdom but is quite bold? This is called acting recklessly; in colloquial terms, it is being a hothead. If someone like this goes to handle matters that involve dealing with the outside world, problems will definitely arise. So, when encountering these matters that involve dealing with the outside world, if it is necessary for the church to do this work, we find the right people to do it. This approach is very good. Whether it is the man used by the Holy Spirit or Me, we never arrange for you to go to the streets to demonstrate and protest, much less do we ever require you to engage in political rights advocacy or preach the gospel to certain kinds of famous people; God’s house never does these things. Have you ever known God’s house to make these kinds of work arrangements? (No.) Even with preaching the gospel, it is preached to those in religion who thirst for the truth; there is no need to pay attention to those Pharisees and those who eat their fill of loaves. God’s house never instigates you to take risks or lets you fall into temptation or into Satan’s snare; that is, it does not push you into a fiery pit, but does everything possible to protect you with the capabilities and resources currently available to God’s house. See, isn’t this how God’s house does things? (Yes.) For example, if a place catches fire, you should call the fire department to put out the fire, and the brothers and sisters should quickly evacuate; it is safer to let professionals do the firefighting work. This is to protect you from taking risks, falling into temptation, and falling into Satan’s snare. Similarly, regarding the various negative figures that appear in the church, such as antichrists, evil people, and disbelievers, God allows them to appear. I fellowship with you to help you learn to discern them, then teach you what methods to use to treat them, and finally, God’s house establishes administrative decrees on how to handle these people, classifying them by kind and, after clearly discerning antichrists, evil people, disbelievers, and those who cause disruptions and disturbances, cleansing them away, so that you can do your duty with peace of mind. Tell Me, how does God’s house do with this item of work? (It does it well.) After this work is done well, there are no more people causing disruptions and disturbances in the churches of various countries, and church life becomes peaceful. Once evil people are cleared out, the church immediately becomes peaceful. Most people’s hearts become settled, they can gather normally, the order of church life becomes normal, and various kinds of work can also be carried out normally. Looking at it from this angle, then, does the truth hold power in God’s house? (Yes.) God’s house does this work to allow the majority of people who are willing to pursue the truth, who can accept the truth, and who have a bit of sincerity toward their duty to do their duty, listen to sermons, and pursue the truth with peace of mind—this is in terms of the church’s work. In addition, as for Me, when I interact with you and handle matters, isn’t everything I consider for you done to protect you to the utmost? (Yes.) Have I instigated you to do the things evil people do or walk the path evil people walk? (No.) In one respect, I provide you with the truth so that you can understand the truth principles, see through things, discern various kinds of people, treat various evil people with wisdom, and stay away from them. And in another respect, when you encounter dangerous matters, I tell you how to handle them. I tell you how—on the foundation of submitting to God’s orchestrations—to avoid falling into Satan’s temptation and snare, and I tell you to not be foolish, and to stay away and steer clear when you see something that will lead to misfortune. I never incite, instigate, or encourage you to go to dangerous places; rather, I tell you that if your current city is dangerous and you’ll be persecuted there, you should flee to another city. You see, don’t you have a path to practice in this way? (Yes.) I have never said, “The CCP suppresses and afflicts us so much, and this humankind is so wicked that they cannot tolerate us, so we must fight them! Take to the streets with slogans and banners to demonstrate, and expose the darkness and evil of this world!” I have never said such things, nor have I asked you to do these things. I’ve said so much all for the purpose of helping you accept and pursue the truth, and I also often tell you that no matter where you live, you must conduct yourselves in a rule-abiding manner, do things dutifully, abide by the law, and not let nonbelievers catch you out or cause trouble. We do not participate in the politics of nonbelievers, nor do we antagonize any government. We just do our duty—doing it well and finishing the work we ought to do without drawing attention, bearing good witness for God. This is the most important thing; there is no need to concern ourselves with anything else. Isn’t this what I have told you? (Yes.) We seek to know this world, to know evil trends, and to know the corrupt essence of corrupt humankind not so that we can go against the current or oppose any country or government, but so that we can better understand the truth and further confirm that God’s words are the truth. The goal of knowing these things is to be able to submit to God, embark on the right path, and accept God’s salvation. The darkness of the world has nothing to do with us—we have bid farewell to it, have we not? Are you clear on this aspect, that God does not instigate people? (Yes.) I fellowship with you on this aspect—that God does not instigate people—primarily to tell you that, in everything you do, you must clearly know what the principles of your actions are. In everything you do, do not rely on impetuousness or a moment’s courage to fight with people or demand an explanation; rather, you must have principles in everything you do, and strive to follow God’s way, strive to act according to the truth principles and God’s intentions, and act in accordance with God’s intentions. Are you clear on this aspect? (Yes.) God incarnate’s deeds and revelations do not serve to instigate you; this is also an aspect that you should know. Of course, after you gain knowledge of it, you should be more certain of what path you should walk and what way you should follow, rather than just having doctrinal knowledge of it and leaving it at that.
Within the subject of God incarnate not enticing people, there is another specific manifestation, which is that He does not incite people. There are similarities between not inciting people and not instigating people. I won’t go into these similarities, but I will talk briefly about the differences. When discerning various kinds of people in the church—which involves discerning antichrists, evil people, and various people who disrupt and disturb the work of God’s house—for one thing, you must have discernment of the character of these people and you must reject these people. Additionally, God’s house has corresponding ways of handling these people. What you most ought to do is know the corrupt dispositions and corrupt essence of various kinds of people, and be able to know people’s essence. After you come to know these things, you should not be someone of that type, you should not do those kinds of things, and you should also recognize and let go of the states and manifestations you have—as well as the specific intentions, motives, and viewpoints behind your actions—that are the same as theirs. The goal of discerning such people is not to incite one group of people to attack another group of people, nor is it to engage in factional struggles; is this point clear? (Yes.) You see, when we fellowship on some of the behaviors and manifestations of antichrists and evil people during formal gatherings, we never mention people’s names; we only mention the manifestations of such people, and then expose and dissect the essence of some of their behaviors and the viewpoints they hold, and finally characterize what their essence is. As for the purpose and goal of the fellowship, it is to help you be able to know and see clearly Satan’s true colors and Satan’s essence, and to help you realize more clearly what kind of people God loves and what kind He loathes. In addition, for you personally, it’s to help you realize what kind of path is correct to walk. You should be guarded against the kind of people God dislikes, you must reject their wrong ways of doing things, and you should also let go of their fallacious thoughts and views. The goal of our fellowshipping on these issues to begin with is not to incite you to attack such people. Even if, through fellowship, people come to have discernment of them, become averse to them in their hearts, and become able to reject them and not interact with them, fellowshipping in this way is not inciting people to do anything. That is, fellowshipping on these issues and topics has nothing to do with the campaigns to torment people or the partisan and factional struggles you might find in the nonbelieving world. People engage in factional struggles for the sake of power, desire, and personal interests. We, on the other hand, fellowship, expose, and discern some people in this way so that you can better understand the truth. The goal of such fellowship is to bring you before God, and get you to walk the right path, discern what positive things are and what negative things are, and improve your ability to discern right from wrong through this matter. As for the one who gets exposed through such fellowship, if they can feel remorse and have a repentant heart, then regardless of whether people accept them, God accepts them. What does it mean for God to accept them? It means God accepts their repentance; if they repent, God will not condemn them. But it is quite rare for people to repent, right? (Yes.) If they have done evil and have transgressions, we should also help them. We cannot completely write such a person off, decide that they are hopeless and can’t be given any more chances, and clear them out of the church; we have never taken such an approach. God’s house has established full-time duty churches, part-time duty churches, ordinary churches, and B groups; unless people reach the point where they’re completely hopeless, they will be given opportunities to repent. Even when the manifestations of many people have been the same as those of antichrists and the great red dragon—meaning they are manifestations of the same sort—we have not directly cleared those people out either. The only exception is antichrists whose circumstances are particularly serious, who have misled many brothers and sisters, and who have brought losses to the church’s work that are too severe to be measured in dollars and cents—such people are directly characterized as antichrists and expelled. Except for this most serious of situations, we give everyone else opportunities for repentance, and do not directly characterize them as those who will perish. The reason we give them opportunities is that everyone is accepting God’s work of the last days for the first time—it’s not that they have experienced God’s work for many years, have listened to so many sermons, and have committed multiple transgressions and are still given opportunities. What is it instead? It’s that many people are first-time offenders in doing evil, or they do it unintentionally, or there are some other reasons behind what they do. No matter how many reasons there are, in fact, according to the actual situation, they should not have done evil. However, God’s house still gives people leeway and gives them opportunities for repentance, and observes their manifestations time and time again. Some people do not repent after doing evil, so they are sent from full-time or part-time duty churches to ordinary churches or B groups. If they still do not repent in the B group, continuing to do evil and cause disturbances, they are ultimately cleared out of the church. Anyone who is cleared out is cleared out because they have committed all kinds of evil deeds and have not shown any repentance for many years. They can only blame themselves for not accepting the truth, because God’s house gave them several opportunities to repent and they did not cherish them, letting them all slip by; they have no one else to blame. In short, what is My aim in talking about these things? No matter which people we discern or handle, the goal of doing so is not to incite people to rise up and torment them, nor is it to incite them to engage in factional or gang struggles. Rather, it is to help people learn to discern, see through the essence of various kinds of people, and then mete out the deserved punishment and retribution against evil people, so that those who have been harmed can learn a lesson after witnessing the evil deeds of these people, know how to discern people, and understand an aspect of the truth. Therefore, when I fellowship with you on the specific manifestations of some people doing evil, it’s not to incite you to hate them, and then win you over to believe in Me and trust Me more; this is not My aim. Moreover, what I fellowship with you are only their ways of doing things that they outwardly exhibit; I have not told you about many of their specific manifestations that occur in secret. Though sometimes when I chat with some of you and this topic comes up, I say a bit more. My aim then is also not to incite you, or to make you rise up and denounce them, but to help you learn to discern people according to the truth, and know what exactly the principles of God’s house for handling people are. The principles of God’s house for handling people are fair and just; they are not about tormenting people—My aim is to help you understand this in your heart. In this way, even if I do bring up more specific details, it’s not to incite you; if you truly have discernment of the person being exposed, then that is enough for you. Some people who are very impetuous always want to fight. I say that is inappropriate—handle matters impartially, and treat people according to principles; there is no need to fight. If someone has repented, we will forgive them and treat them as a brother or sister. But if they still persist in their original wrong ways of doing things without the slightest repentance, and still try to justify and vindicate themselves, arguing at every opportunity, and even passing judgment and spreading things behind people’s backs, then we will treat them as enemies, never interact with them, and never allow them to enter the church. Is it appropriate to do this? (Yes.) From beginning to end, in all these ways of doing things, can you not see that every step follows the truth principles, and that people are treated according to the correct principles? Are any of these approaches informed by human will? Do they rely on impetuousness? (No.) Do emotions or feelings play any role here? (No.) Is the approach of tormenting people ever taken? Is the point ever to safeguard someone’s status, the church’s reputation, someone’s dignity, or My own dignity and image? (No.) This is never the case.
No matter what kind of person or which individual is being handled, our way of handling them is to hand the matter over to the church, which will handle them according to principles. In most cases, it’s the brothers and sisters of the decision-making groups who participate in these matters. If more brothers and sisters need to participate, then the case is sent to more church leaders or brothers and sisters in various churches so they can get a clear understanding of it, and then vote and express their viewpoints. Finally, the brothers and sisters decide how to handle this person. This authority is handed over to the church and to the brothers and sisters; however the church handles it, it will be done according to your decision. So what are the principles by which the brothers and sisters handle various kinds of people? People are measured according to the principles I and the man used by the Holy Spirit have been fellowshipping about all these years. After it’s handled, you will report what happened to the Above. I will take a look at it, and the man used by the Holy Spirit will also take a look at it; we will both review it. Sometimes, I see that you have handled the situation relatively appropriately, and sometimes the result of the handling does not quite match what I had intended. For certain individuals, the result of the handling is more severe than what I had in mind, and for some others, of course, the result is lighter than what I had in mind. However, I never make any suggestions; I respect your decisions and hand this authority over to you and to the church. What is the reason that I hand it over to you? You’ve listened to sermons and fellowships for so many years—I believe that most of you have a standard for measuring evil people and the evil deeds of those who harm the interests of God’s house and the interests of the brothers and sisters. Regarding how to handle these people, over eighty percent of people should have a scale in their hearts and know how to measure and handle them appropriately. Even if there are slight deviations in the handling by some church leaders and workers, the general direction will not be wrong; this is certain. What is this based on? It is based on the fact that you have understood the words I have spoken to you and the viewpoints I have taught and provided to you throughout all these years; you know what to do, and I believe in you. Therefore, judging from these situations, no matter what kind of person’s manifestations God’s house fellowships about and exposes, or what kind of person it handles, it absolutely has nothing to do with the kind of incitement that is referred to in the nonbelieving world. No matter what kind of person or which individual God’s house handles, such handling is never a campaign; rather, evil people who do evil, resist God, and oppose God will inevitably be revealed. This is an inevitable result. In addition, from God’s perspective, it is God setting up lessons and environments—time and time again—for every person who pursues the truth and every person who follows God. It’s an opportunity for you to know God’s work and discern evil people, and it is also your repeated practice of the truths you have comprehended and understood. Accepting things from God means learning lessons; it’s as simple as that. These situations are excellent opportunities for you to learn lessons and discern evil people. If God did not place these evil people and antichrists before you, and did not let you see with your own eyes how these evil people do evil and resist God, then these words I have fellowshipped over the years about discerning evil people and antichrists might just be a kind of doctrine to you. You would feel that there are no people who are that evil in the church, and in your heart these words would always be followed by a question mark. Although you would not deny these words, you would always treat them as a kind of doctrine. But if some evil people and antichrists do appear, and actual examples occur, you will genuinely realize: “So this is how Satan treats God. So Satan and antichrists are this averse to the truth and hate the truth this much. So Satan and devils are this wicked, deceitful, and greedy, and resist God like this. God says that Satan never accepts the truth, and that Satan is averse to the truth and hates the truth; now I have seen this. These evil people and antichrists lie inveterately. Even with the facts right before their eyes, they still try to argue; they really are living Satans! Satans truly never change their nature!” God sets up these people, events, and things just to help you learn lessons. Is this point clear? (Yes.) Therefore, no matter which people God’s house clears out and handles, and no matter which people it exposes and discerns, the nature of this is different from the nature of the internal struggles or campaigns of any group or force in the world. At the very least, these things that happen in God’s house are all orchestrated by God. When the time comes, God sets up these environments to let evil people come out and perform, and then has them revealed and exposed, so that God’s people can learn lessons. When God’s people see these things happen, they fellowship about them. Through fellowship, everyone gains more and more knowledge and discernment, and increasingly feels that evil people do not love the truth, and are even averse to the truth and hate the truth, and that they are living Satans. Now they see the nature essence of evil people clearly, because there are actual examples. Everything God’s house does in this regard is what all of God’s chosen people must experience in the process of God saving people. Viewed as a whole, it’s all orchestrated by God, so it is not a campaign. When these things happen, the words I speak to you are the same as any other sermon or fellowship for you—they are a kind of provision. That is, God sets up such a matter within the larger environment—and what role do I play here? I just give you a helping hand. When you do not have a clear view or knowledge of this matter, I fellowship the truth to help you, counsel you, and give you pointers. What pointers do I give? Ones that enable you to clearly recognize the focal point of the matter at hand and the essence of this problem. With a few simple pointers and prompts, you immediately gain clarity and know what’s going on. With just this slight assistance, you easily pass the test posed by this matter, just as you wished, and hand in a satisfactory answer to God. You have discernment of the evil person, no longer worship them, are no longer misled by them, and no longer believe the devilish words they speak. You have a clear knowledge of them: They lie inveterately, they never accept the truth, and they are a devil. This point is finalized. Previously, you worshiped them quite a bit and felt they were someone who sincerely wanted God. Now you have discernment of them, and have determined that this type of person cannot attain salvation, and that this type of person is God’s enemy. No matter what happens in the church or what kind of things happen in your work, with all the work I do and all the words I speak, I’m just continuously pulling and dragging you along, doing My utmost to bring you before God and onto the right path, and help you understand and gain the truth, so that you are no longer foolish or blind, and no longer rely on impetuousness or adhere to your old notions in how you approach any people, events, or things. No matter what results the purpose and goal of My speaking ultimately bring about in you, in short, I have only one goal and direction, which is to bring you before God and enable you to take your proper place as a created being. So, this is not incitement. Incitement entails the schemes and goals of human will, making others take risks to achieve one’s own goals behind the scenes. So, is what I do inciting you? (No.) When you have gained the truth and learned some lessons, I am satisfied; I have no other intentions. Am I doing this for the sake of My own selfish interests? (No.) On the contrary, I have to pay a price, expend thought, and talk at length to fellowship with you tirelessly, doing everything possible to explain every key point clearly to you. For example, if a certain matter involves ten key points, and I leave out three or five of them, you will miss out on a lot. If I only fellowship briefly on these ten key points, then people of poor caliber will gain even less; for people of good caliber to gain something, these points must also be fellowshipped on clearly, and people of poor caliber need to have them fellowshipped multiple times to understand. Thus, I have to explain all ten key points clearly, so that when everyone shares and communicates with each other during gatherings, they gradually gain all of them. God’s house is a big family. No single person can thoroughly eat and drink all the truths. Everyone needs to share with each other; you must always pray-read, share, and fellowship together. Only in this way can you understand more things and understand them more comprehensively. So, church life is indispensable, and you also cannot do without fellowshipping and sharing among yourselves. It may be that you gained three or five of those ten key points I spoke of at the time, and later, through everyone sharing with each other, you can gain seven or eight. After a few more years, others also share, and perhaps, as your gains gradually accumulate day by day and month by month, you will come to gain all ten key points. In this way, My words were not spoken in vain, right? (Right.) So, you gain the truth and grow in stature—what do I stand to gain from that? Am I hoping you will make Me something good to eat? Or buy Me some nice clothes? Maybe a big house? I do not value these things. It’s just like how David wanted to build a temple for God back then—would you say it was the temple that God was after? At that time, people truly did not understand God’s intentions; they were really quite foolish. Although God did not ask for it, seeing that David had such a heart, God accepted and tacitly consented to it. In the context of that age, people’s stature was just like that; God did not have high requirements for people. If it was to happen today, for people to do that would be too foolish and would not accord with the truth principles at all.
I never speak words of incitement or do things that incite people. Although I hate evil people and antichrists, I do not incite everyone to rise up to hate and reject them. The many words I speak are all to enable people to understand the truth and see the truth of the facts clearly, so this cannot be called incitement. No matter what aspect of the truth I fellowship, you must treat it correctly and be able to comprehend it correctly. This is just how the church’s work is done. I just tirelessly fellowship and provide the truth, and tirelessly share My knowledge of and insights into the truth, My viewpoints on various things, My knowledge of various kinds of people, and My views and attitudes toward them. My ultimate aim in fellowshipping tirelessly like this is to enable you to understand the truth and enter into the truth reality. So, in terms of this result, have I achieved it? Has God’s work achieved this result? (Yes.) There is a portion of people who are always afraid of believing wrongly; they buy Satan’s baseless rumors, thinking they have been misled, and that the One they believe in is not God but a person. You say you have been misled, but are the words you read not God’s words? Are God’s words not the truth? Is what is fellowshipped in the gatherings of God’s house not the truth? Can you gain the truth by believing in a person? What work done by God’s house is misleading you? On what basis do you determine whether you’ve been misled? You’ve only been misled if what you believe in is not the truth. If what you believe in is the truth, you cannot say you’ve been misled. Even if you have not gained the truth, it cannot be said that you’ve been misled; it can only be said that you do not pursue the truth, that you are not a right person, and that you have harmed yourself. You believed in the Lord for many years without gaining the truth—what was the problem then? You were definitely worshiping pastors and following people; this is what it truly means to be misled. God’s house treats everyone fairly. If you are willing to do your duty, God’s house gives you a duty, and also takes care of your living expenses without splitting hairs with you. Is this not God’s exaltation? Are you not receiving special favor? (Yes.) Then what is the goal of giving you a duty? It’s so that you, as a created being, can establish a fixed and stable relationship with the Creator while doing your duty. On this foundation, God provides you with the truth, and also sets up various environments for you to learn lessons. God’s house also always fellowships the truth and the principles of doing various duties with you. Does God expend a lot of thought for the sake of helping people gain the truth? Does God’s house do a lot of work to this end? (Yes.) People are the greatest beneficiaries in all this. You do not pursue the truth, but only pursue fame, gain, and status, yet you say you have suffered a loss. Are you not reversing black and white by saying this? Do you have any conscience speaking this way? Some people say, “Doing a duty in God’s house is so hard; there’s no end to the work you have to do!” Your efficiency in doing your duty is so low, so you should get in gear. You always want to eat for free without doing any work; this does not accord with the principles. Some people always want to eat for free and not do any work; what is the problem here? Aren’t these people gluttons? They must have starved to death in their past lives! They come to God’s house just wanting to eat for free. People with conscience and reason are unwilling to do this. If God’s house lets them eat their fill, they can repay God’s grace and love, and they can do their duty well without shying from hardship or fatigue. People without conscience and reason always want to eat for free. They’re terrified that doing a little work might mean they suffer a loss, so they eat more to take advantage of God’s house. Can such people do their duty well? I think sooner or later they’ll be eliminated. Some people also say, “Working in God’s house is tiring!” Well, you have no strengths. If you don’t work and don’t do your duty, then you will have to return to the world to work for a living—won’t the work you do there be tiring? Do you want to eat for free in God’s house? God’s house is not a nursing home, nor is it a charity. If you always want to eat for free, are you not devoid of conscience? Let’s not even go into how much God’s house has spent to provide for your food, clothing, and daily expenses—just in terms of the truth you’ve gained, what could you possibly use to buy it? Could you buy it with gold or diamonds? You could not buy it with anything; the truth is priceless. In providing you with the truth, have I asked you for a single penny? (No.) How much of My heart’s blood do I have to expend in preaching sermons to you? Which of My fellowships on the truth did not allow you to gain benefit? Which gathering was a waste of your time and energy? (None.) I’ve more than done right by you. Every time I preach a sermon, I allow you to gain something. When I chat and make small talk with you, even if I tell a joke, it’s all to help you understand the truth. Therefore, I keep speaking ceaselessly so that you can become able to understand the truth. Even so, some people still say that they’re being misled by believing in God. Are they being misled? (No.) One thing is certain about those who say they are being misled: They are not God’s sheep. Not being God’s sheep, they cannot enjoy the blessing of understanding the truth. They should suffer the torment of sin and live in pain, with Satan afflicting them as it pleases and continuing to corrupt them, and then perish together with Satan; this is their deserved destination. Not being God’s sheep, they cannot enjoy that blessing. As soon as they read God’s words, they cannot bear it or handle it in their hearts, just like some people who are ill-fated and cannot handle blessings; if they enjoy too good a life, they will die young. Tell Me, I have gathered and fellowshipped with you for so many years—have I ever asked you for a single penny? (No.) Some people have tried to give Me a few hundred yuan to My face, asking Me to buy some supplements to improve My health. I said, “I don’t need it, I have enough. You hold on to the money, or see what the church needs and buy something for it, or see which brothers and sisters need money for living expenses or travel expenses, and give it to them. There’s no need to give it to Me.” There are also people who give Me some good things to My face, and I refuse them all without exception. From the beginning up to now, I have never taken a single penny or a single thing from any individual. Some people offer up some items to Me, and most of the time I refuse them. If it is truly something I need, I will accept a little, and then I also have to express My gratitude. I have never demanded any personal items from anyone. I would not ask you to give Me one or send Me some just because I see you wear nice clothes or eat well; I have never asked for any of these things. For so many years, My gathering and fellowshipping with you has been free of charge. I have not asked you for one cent, nor have I asked you to hand over a single penny. Moreover, we never talk about making offerings in our gatherings and fellowships. So I do not know why some people who have accepted this stage of work and believed for so many years can still say they’ve been misled. How were you misled? Were you cheated out of your money or tricked into sex? Neither. Then how do you characterize someone who can say these sorts of things? (They’re a disbeliever.) They are a disbeliever. They are not God’s sheep; they are a devil, so they can spew venomous slander.
We always fellowship the truth when we gather, and after fellowshipping for so many years, you have finally learned the basics. I see that in so many experiential testimonies now, people have some experiences and knowledge regarding various things they encounter in life, especially in doing their duty. They all have made some gains in the truth and some growth in life. This shows that, through often listening to Me speak and preach sermons, you have developed correct thoughts and views and have shared genuine experiential knowledge; this is what I am most pleased to see. I encourage you to write more experiential testimony articles. Even if your understanding is shallow, write it down as long as it’s even remotely relevant; the more you write, the more profound your understanding will become. This is just how people come to know the truth, understand the truth, and experience the truth. The more seriously you approach it and the more importance you attach to it in your heart, the more definite the thoughts and views you will have in your understanding of the truth. The more definite your thoughts and views are, the more substance there will be in what you write when you put pen to paper, and the better able you will be to express it in writing. But if you only ever ponder things subconsciously or just think about them simply, you will not develop any definite thoughts or views. When you put pen to paper, you will feel, “I have understanding—why can’t I convey it in writing?” You cannot get it out because you have no thoughts or views, and you do not know how to write. Without thoughts and views, the article you write will lack soul, a direction, and a goal, and you will not be able to determine the thrust of the article. If you don’t know and can’t determine what the goal of writing the article is, what results you hope to achieve through it, what truth principles are involved that you have come to understand, and what truth is involved that you have come to understand, you will not be able to start writing. If you can determine these things, if you know what the truth actually is, where your fallaciousness and distortions lie, what things you’ve turned around and what you have gained through now understanding the truth—if you are clear on all these things, you will be able to put pen to paper. Many people have already had some gains in this aspect, which can be seen from these experiential testimony articles uploaded by God’s house. A portion of people have already begun to have definite life entry, and of course, a portion of people have also had definite gains in the truth. It can be said with certainty that for this portion of people who have had gains in the truth, some truth principles have already become their life within them. This is a very good beginning, and it is also a great phenomenon. It can be said that having these gains is the effect achieved because our fellowship on various aspects of the truth has become more and more detailed and specific over all these years. What’s the point of giving this example? It’s to tell you that, having listened to My sermons and fellowships for so many years, based on the truths you can understand, whether on the level of doctrine or on a practical level, you should no longer think that God’s house is a so-called “human group.” No matter what aspect of the truth is being fellowshipped, what specific matter you are trying to know, or what special behaviors and incidents of evil people are being fellowshipped, you should no longer measure them with the thoughts and views of nonbelievers. Rather, you should accept them from God, strive to learn lessons, treat them seriously, and then attentively ponder and learn the truths that ought to be understood within these things. You must remember this point: Whether it’s My fellowship, the fellowship of the man used by the Holy Spirit, or the fellowship of the brothers and sisters below, if it truly involves a type of evil person that people should discern or a type of lesson that should be learned, as long as it involves the truth, and as long as it is an aspect of the truth that you ought to understand and grasp, you should treat it correctly and take it seriously. Even if the actions of a few individuals are somewhat radical and obstinate, as long as you do not act that way, it is fine. Focus on the truth, put effort into the truth, know the essence of the facts of the matter at hand, know and discern negative figures, accept positive things, and practice according to the positive path—in doing this, you will achieve the desired effect and be able to reap a harvest. You should not approach this with the viewpoints of nonbelievers, always thinking, “God’s house fellowshipping about, exposing, and cleansing away evil people is launching a campaign; it’s inciting and enticing us to do certain things. I fear I’d end up getting burned and bringing trouble upon myself if I exposed evil people.” There is no need to worry about this; in God’s house, the truth absolutely holds power. If you believe that God holds sovereignty, that God is almighty, and that God is righteous, then you should have a correct comprehension and attitude toward this matter, and strive to reap a harvest in the truth when encountering every matter and these special incidents, rather than doing your utmost to protect yourself by acting as a bystander or a disbeliever. Do you understand? (Yes.) You see, are these words I speak helpful to you? (Yes.) If you want to be a bystander and live timorously, then your faith in God is too small; you do not believe the facts of God’s righteousness and almightiness, or the fact that God holds sovereignty over all things. Even if it cannot be said that you are a disbeliever, at the very least you have a skeptical attitude; you have not given your heart to God, and you do not have a true heart for God. This is a type of person: They are very timid, and when the church does cleansing work and needs to expose antichrists and evil people, they shrink back, evade, and compromise. There is also another type of disbeliever who, when encountering such matters, thinks, “God’s house is launching a campaign again. I will not take part in this. I won’t say anything. What if I say the wrong thing and get expelled? I will not expose anyone, and I will not make enemies with anyone. All I’ve got to do is protect myself; I’ve got to preserve myself. I do not see anyone’s evil deeds, I do not hear anyone’s preposterous words, and I am unaware of and do not see anyone doing things that cause disruptions and disturbances or harm the interests of God’s house. This all has nothing to do with me.” This is the viewpoint of a disbeliever. Not only do you fail to safeguard the interests of God’s house, but you also laugh at God’s house, while at the same time doing your utmost to protect yourself, betraying the interests of God’s house. In God’s eyes, what kind of person is someone like this? Does God like such people? (No, in God’s eyes, such a person is a nonbeliever.) If you are like this, God treats you as a nonbeliever. You may be doing your duty, but God does not accept you, or acknowledge you as a created being of His—this means trouble for you. Even if you protect yourself quite well, that is of no use; you must let God protect you. If God protects you, then you will be perfectly safe; if God protects you, you will be able to gain the truth and God’s acceptance. You should pray for God’s protection, and fulfill the duty and responsibility that a person ought to fulfill; do not try to protect yourself alone. How capable are you, that you can protect your own life? How capable are you, that you can secure your own destination? You are not this capable; you are not in control of yourself. If you’re smart, you should give yourself over, assume your proper position as a created being when encountering any matter, fulfill your responsibilities and your duty, and do your utmost to safeguard the interests of God’s house. If you can do your duty devotedly and well, and you can safeguard the interests of God’s house, see whether God would hand you over to Satan, whether you would die, and whether the church would expel you. If you cannot even be certain of this, then you are an out-and-out disbeliever; you are a nonbeliever. God does not save or perfect nonbelievers; He does not want such people. Do you understand? (Yes.) Once you have such thoughts and views, when you next encounter any matter, do not stay out of it. You must treat yourself as a member of this big family which is the house of God. The interests of God’s house concern the interests of every brother and sister, and they also concern your interests. When the interests of God’s house suffer a loss, you should realize that your own interests also suffer a loss. You should stand up to put a stop to this and discern this, and then fellowship with the brothers and sisters to safeguard the interests of God’s house. This is what people in God’s house ought to do and the behavior they ought to exhibit; this is what God’s people and the good soldiers of the kingdom ought to do. Do you understand? (Yes.)
Alright, we will end our fellowship here for today. Goodbye!
