90 God’s Word Is Authority and Judgment

I

Most people ignore God’s utterances,

thinking that words are just words and that facts are facts.

They are blind!

Don’t they know that God is the faithful God Himself?

God’s words and facts occur simultaneously.

Is this not genuinely the case?

When God created all things, when He destroys the world,

and when He makes complete the firstborn sons—

all these things are accomplished by a single word from His mouth.

This is because God’s word itself is the authority, and it’s the judgment.

II

God is the judgment and the majesty;

this is an unalterable fact, an unalterable fact.

This is one aspect of God’s administrative decrees;

it is but one way in which He judges people.

In God’s eyes, everything—including all people, all events, and all things—

is in His hands and under His judgment.

No one and nothing dares to behave wildly or willfully,

and all must be accomplished in accordance with the words God utters.

Whoever doubts God’s words, whoever slights His words,

these are the ones who shall be destroyed;

they are the perpetual sons of perdition.

God accomplishes everything without moving a finger;

He uses only His words, only His words.

This, then, is where God’s almightiness lies.
