549 What’s Realistic Is Pursuing the Truth
I
What’s realistic now is pursuing the truth,
and knowing your own corrupt nature;
what’s realistic is understanding the truth
to cast off your corrupt disposition,
and it’s being able to perform your duty well to God’s satisfaction.
Entering into the truth reality
and living out the likeness of a genuine person—
this is what’s realistic, this is what’s realistic,
this is what’s realistic.
What’s realistic is loving and submitting to God,
and bearing testimony to God.
These are the results God wants.
These are the results God wants.
II
It’s useless to research things
that can neither be touched nor seen.
They’ve nothing to do with what’s realistic,
they have nothing to do with what’s realistic,
and have nothing to do with the effects of,
with the effects of the work of God.
Truly intelligent people have the following attitude:
“No matter what God does or how He treats me,
no matter how profoundly corrupted I am
or no matter what my humanity is like,
I’ll always pursue the truth and seek to know God.”
Only by knowing God
can one resolve their corrupt disposition
and fulfill their duty to satisfy God’s will, to satisfy God’s will;
this is the direction for human life,
it’s what humans should be seeking to achieve,
and it’s the one and only path to salvation, to salvation.
