1078  You Must Pursue the Truth in Order to Survive

I

The simplest practice of pursuing the truth is that you must accept all things from God and submit in all things. That’s one aspect. The other aspect is that when it comes to your duty and responsibilities, and, to put it on a more macroscopic level, the commission given to you by God and some important work allotted to you by God, you should always pay a price. No matter how difficult it may be—no matter if you need to put your nose to the grindstone, no matter if persecution should befall you, or even if it should put your life at risk—you’re not to begrudge the cost, but to offer up your loyalty and submit unto death. This is a real manifestation, real expenditure, and true practice of pursuing the truth. If people have a heart of longing, determination, and faith regarding the pursuit of the truth—if they have this strength in their hearts—then nothing that befalls them is difficult. The worrying thing is that some people do lack faith.

II

Ultimately, in this stage of the work in the final age, God clearly tells people every aspect of the truths they are to practice. To have people pursue the truth in this current period of experiencing God’s work isn’t making things difficult for them; rather it is something they’re capable of achieving. In one regard, this requirement of God is perfectly appropriate; in another regard, people have sufficient conditions and a sufficient foundation for pursuing the truth. If someone still fails to gain the truth in the end, it’s because their problems are just too severe. Such a person deserves whatever punishment they suffer, whatever outcome they get, whatever death they meet with. They merit no pity. To God, there are no such terms as pity or compassion for people. He judges the outcome a person should have, and determines what this life and the world to come are like for a person, based on His disposition, as well as the laws and rules He has established, His requirements of people, and what manifestations that person has. It’s as simple as that.

III

God doesn’t care how many people will survive, or how many will be destroyed and punished in the end. What does this tell you? It tells you that God hasn’t preordained a set number of people and that you can strive for it. God speaks and works as He does now; He treats every person fairly and gives every person ample opportunity. He gives you ample opportunity, and ample grace, and an ample measure of His words, His work, His mercy, and His tolerance. He is fair to every person. If you pursue the truth, and have embarked on the path of following God, and if, no matter how great the suffering you endure is or how many difficulties you encounter, you can accept the truth, and your corrupt dispositions are cleansed, then you will be saved. If you can bear witness to God and become a created being that is up to standard, a master of all things that is up to standard, you will survive.
