213. Li XX, female, aged 46, from Xinguan Township of Dayuan Town in Fuyang City, a responsible person of the Old Local Church. In December 1999, when Li learned that a brother of her church had accepted God’s end-time work, she took over a dozen people with her to disturb him, and she also cursed in her prayer, “In the name of Jesus, I bind this cult ‘the Eastern Lightning’….” Afterward, she resisted more frenziedly. Wherever the brothers and sisters preached the gospel, there she would go and disturb them. In August 2000, when she learned that a sister had accepted Almighty God, she went everywhere to seal the meeting places, not allowing the people to go outside to hear the preaching. She also cursed the believers in Almighty God, saying that the believers in Almighty God had stolen her sheep. On November 1, 2000, Li became sick. After the doctor’s diagnosis, she was found to have lung cancer. But instead of repenting, she resisted God’s work even more vehemently. Soon, Li became bedridden. Many people of her church came to pray for her, but the more they prayed, the worse her condition got. Whenever the pain came, she cried and screamed and hurled abuse at those who were praying for her, and sometimes even threw pillows at them. On April 6, 2001, she finally breathed her last. When she died, her face looked awful. This is the retribution for her blaspheming God.

214. Wang XX, male, aged 66, from Longyou County, a leader of the Old Local Church. In 1996, someone preached Almighty God’s end-time work to him, yet he not only refused to accept, but also condemned it as a heresy and a cult. On April 15, 2000, when he found some brothers and sisters who were preaching the gospel, he reported them to the Public Security Bureau. As a result, five brothers and sisters were arrested on the spot. From then on, he often blasphemed, “‘the Eastern Lightning’ is a cult and a deceiver.” He also sealed all the meeting places, not allowing the people of his church to have contact with strangers. And this caused the gospel work in that area to be greatly hindered. In July 2000, God’s curse came upon Wang. He got esophageal cancer, unable to eat anything though he wanted to. He was tortured for over half a year, and on February 18, 2001, his life of resisting God ended. This old church leader even joined hands with the great red dragon to persecute God, and he really deserved this reward for his evil!
